The Sims 4 Cozy Celebrations Event will soon release its last quest, but for this guide, we'll look at completing the fifth and penultimate quest. This time, your Sims will gather and enjoy some good company, food, and music. Also, your Sims will earn a new wreath and festive jumper as a reward!

The Sims 4 Cozy Celebrations Event Quest 5 Guide

The Sims 4‘s Cozy Celebrations Event is almost at an end – but not quite. There are six quests altogether, and the fifth has just been released. In quest number five, your Sims will get to experience a little of everything. Company, food, and music. This is again a short and sweet quest that should be straightforward to complete, but just to be sure you don’t miss anything, we’ll walk you through everything you need to do to get the next set of quest points and rewards.

Don’t miss our walkthroughs for the previous four Cozy Celebrations quests, if you want a recap of those:

It’s Time to Celebrate! Quest Walkthrough

Total Quest Event Points: 100

Your Sims have spent the last few quests doing research for Jasmine Holiday on these Cozy Celebrations. Now it’s time to put it into practice! Like the previous quests, this one only contains a few tasks (four, to be precise) and shouldn’t take long at all to complete. These tasks are also pretty straightforward. To give you a heads-up, you’ll be doing a little of everything in this quest, including cooking, dancing, and playing music.

Invite Sims Over to Current Lot

Event Points: 30

Sims love to get together in The Sims 4. There’s even a whole Expansion Pack about it! That’s why the first task in the fifth quest of the Cozy Celebrations Event has your Sim inviting others to the current Lot they are at. To be more specific, this task states that you need to invite 3 Sims to the current Lot. This doesn’t strictly have to be your Sim’s Home Lot. It can be another Residential Lot, or a Commercial Lot. What the task is asking you to do is invite Sims over, regardless of where yours is. It is recommended though to have your Sim invite others to a Lot that has a stereo present, simply because you can easily complete the next task as well.

Invite Sims over to your Sim's current location using the phone.

Invite Sims over to your Sim’s current location using the phone.

To invite Sims over wherever you are, open your Sim’s phone up, select the blue Social app, scroll down through the options, and select Invite Over to Current Lot. When you pick this option, you’ll see a list of all the Sims your Sim has ever met. These can be acquaintances, friends, enemies, family members… anyone. So long as your Sim has been introduced to them previously, they’ll appear in this list. When inviting Sims over, you can choose up to 8 Sims maximum. For this task, you only need 3, but feel free to invite more. This isn’t actually a bad idea, in case one Sim fails to show up. Choose whichever Sims you like and then confirm.

Give it a few moments and the invited Sims should turn up at your Sim’s current Lot. Once at least 3 Sims have turned up, this task will get crossed off the list. Note that the Sims have to show up at the Lot to count towards the task’s completion. It doesn’t get marked after you’ve made the call to 3 Sims. You need to make sure enough Sims show up, otherwise it won’t work. If not enough Sims meet the quota, try inviting some other Sims over.

Have Sims Dance at the Same Time

Event Points: 45

This task seems a bit daunting, but is actually very easy. The previous task asked you to invite 3 other Sims to the current Lot. You now need to get these Sims dancing!

First, find a stereo and get the music playing, if it isn’t on yet. You can select it and then use Turn On and select any station you like (if you want to be festive, you can choose Winter Holiday, but for this task, it doesn’t really matter).

Once the music is playing, get your own Sim dancing to it by selecting Dance on the stereo. Once your Sim is dancing away, select at least 3 other Sims and choose Invite Sim to Dance. This option should appear on the first set of social interactions. The Sims will then join your Sim at the stereo and start dancing too. Once at least 3 Sims are grooving away, you’ll complete this task.

Technically, for this task, you can have your own Sim plus two others dancing to make it work. However, it is a good idea to get more Sims joining in, in case one fails to start dancing for whatever reason.

Cook Hallaca

Event Points: 45

More cooking, yay! This time, you’ll be asked to make a plate of Hallaca, which is a meat dish. To make it, your Sim will need a refrigerator, free countertop, and stove. You can open up the list of recipes via the refrigerator or stove. Your Sim will need to be at least a level 3 chef to access and make Hallaca, so nothing too demanding. You can locate it under the default recipes list, or the Lactose-Free and Meat filtered menu. Once you find Hallaca, select it, then the portion amount, and confirm to set your Sim cooking!

Hallaca doesn’t take too long to make, as your Sim alternates between the countertop and stove. Eventually, it will be ready, and that’s another Cozy Celebrations task done.

Sing Songs on an Instrument

Event Points: 30

The title of this task is actually a bit misleading. You can be mistaken in thinking that your Sim needs to play a musical instrument in which they need to sing a song. For example, the guitar requires at least level 3 Guitar skill to unlock this ability, making this task seem a bit out of the blue. Fortunately, this is not the case.

What you actually have to do is play any musical instrument, but you don’t need to sing any songs. Your Sim can play the guitar, piano, or violin. It doesn’t matter if they’re a total novice. They just need to play a little bit, and this task will get marked as completed. Easy!

Don't worry, you don't need to sing. Just play about on any musical instrument to satisfy this task.

It’s Time to Celebrate! Quest Conclusion

Goodie! Another quest done! There’s just one left to go now. It’s a little unclear yet what the sixth and final quest of The Sims 4 Cozy Celebrations Quest will entail, but Jasmine Holiday does leave with a hint. She talks about friends and family, video games, and hot cocoa. Remember the retro gaming console and hot cocoa tray unlocked in previous quests? Something tells me that we’ll be needing those very soon!

Cozy Celebrations Event Quest 5 Rewards

Quest 5 of The Sims 4 Cozy Celebrations Event brings two new rewards. One is a Create-A-Sim item, the other a collectible item. Let’s take a closer look at what we’ve got:

  • Ugly Jolly Jumper (Create-A-Sim): Is this jumper really ugly, or just fun and festive? Nevertheless, your Sim will have something new and cozy to wear this season. This snazzy jumper comes in five funky swatches, and is available for multiple ages and is unisex.
  • Cozy Autumnal Wreath: Another wreath?! Actually, this is the fourth and final one you’ll unlock in the Cozy Celebrations Event, and it’s a little different from the other three. This one has an autumn theme, with its warm colors and plaid ribbon. This should appear in your Sim’s Inventory for free, but you can also buy it from Buy/Build Mode for §220.

Cozy Celebrations Event Quest 5 Conclusion

That pretty much covers everything you can expect in the fifth quest for The Sims 4 Cozy Celebrations Event. This should hopefully give you a buzz for what’s to come in the sixth and final quest. It’s only just around the corner, arriving on Friday 20th December at 8am PST. Don’t miss the finale and the last set of tasks and rewards!
