The Sims 4 Cozy Celebrations Event Quest 1 Guide

A new festive-themed event called Cozy Celebrations has begun in The Sims 4, and this guide will take you through the first quest. The first quest is very quick and easy, and will get you your first set of unlockable rewards. Plus, don't miss the new content with the latest update.

It doesn’t feel that long ago that the first event in The Sims 4 took place, which was the Reaper’s Rewards Event. With the festive season upon us, a brand-new event has landed in The Sims 4, which started from December 3rd 2024. This event is called Cozy Celebrations, and is guaranteed to get you and your Sims into the festive spirit with a bunch of quests and rewards. Let’s talk more about this particular event and what to expect, and then we’ll jump right into the first quest of Cozy Celebrations!

The Cozy Celebrations Event in The Sims 4 only requires the base game, which is free to play. You can play The Sims 4 on PC via Steam and EA App, Origin via Mac, PlayStation 4 | 5, Xbox One | Xbox Series X / S, and Epic Games Store.

How the Cozy Celebrations Event Works

If you’ve played through The Sims 4‘s Reaper’s Rewards Event, then Events may be familiar to you already, but if you’re new to them, this is how they work. For a limited time in The Sims 4, you can complete special tasks that earns you points that in turn unlocks exclusive rewards. New tasks come bundled in quests, which are released on certain dates.

The Cozy Celebrations Event is similar in function to the Reaper’s Rewards Event. However, this one is slightly different. Instead of two quests being released every week over a period of six weeks, there will be just six quests released in the Cozy Celebrations Event over a period of three weeks. There will be a 3 day gap between each quest. Also, even though the quests themselves are released over three weeks, extra time is given so players have enough time to complete all the quests. Starting from December 3rd, the Cozy Celebrations Event will last for 38 days.

Now you have a better idea of how it works, let’s jump right in with the very first quest for the Cozy Celebrations Event!

Total Quest Event Points: 110

Since this is the very first quest of the Cozy Celebrations Event in The Sims 4, it’s going to start off easy. There are only 3 tasks altogether to complete, but they’re very simple and straightforward. You can get these tasks done well within an hour. You also earn enough points to unlock the first two rewards of the event. Let’s see what’s in store!

To start up the Cozy Celebrations Event, you can either start a new game or play in an existing save. Load up your household, then wait a few seconds. You should see a message pop up on your screen. This officially introduces the event and the first quest, giving you a quick briefing. Read through it then press OK to begin!

You’ll return to the game where the first set of tasks appear. You can select the Cozy Celebrations tab in the top left corner anytime to view your progress. You can see what quests are active, what quests are coming up and when, what rewards you’ve unlocked, what rewards you can unlock, and how much time you have left to complete the Cozy Celebrations Event. This screen is a good place to keep track of the event, and you can refer to it anytime in the game.

Without further ado, let’s look at what tasks we have in the first quest for the Cozy Celebrations Event.

Ask Other Sims About Their Holiday Traditions

Event Points: 30

To kickstart this event, Jasmine Holiday (the organizer of the event) is interested in learning about Sims’ traditions over the holidays. For this task, you have to ask two Sims about their holiday traditions. This appears as a new interaction called Ask About Holiday Traditions when you select any Sim. When you speak to them, a pop-up message in the corner will give you some info about the Sim’s traditions. They might say something as simple as relaxing with others and watching TV over their holiday break. Once you’ve asked two different Sims this question, you’ll complete this task.

Cloudgaze or Stargaze

Event Points: 30

Completing the Ask About Holiday Traditions tasks unlocks this next task: you’ll need to get a Sim to Cloudgaze or Stargaze. These interactions are technically the same, but obviously Cloudgazing is only available during the day, while Stargazing is available at night.

Your Sims can ask another Sim to join them cloudgazing or stargazing, or they can do it solo. Whichever you do, your Sim will lie down on the ground and blissfully look up at the sky. Give it a few moments and this task will get checked off the list.

Sims can cloud or stargaze alone by selecting themselves and choosing Cloudgaze/Stargaze.

Cook Japchae

Event Points: 30

There’s just one last task to complete in Quest 1 of the Cozy Celebrations Event. Yes, it’s that quick! All you have to do now is cook Japchae. This is a recipe you can make by simply selecting any fridge or stove, selecting Cook, and then picking Japchae from the list. It’s a recipe available for level 1 beginner cooks, so you don’t have to be a skilled chef to make it. If you struggle to find this recipe from the admittedly-long list, then you can change the order to make it alphabetical. You can also filter Japchae under the Vegetarian and Lactose-Free options. It shouldn’t be too difficult to find under the default menu.

Once you’ve located Japchae, simply go ahead and cook it! Once it’s done, you’ll also be done with this task, and quest 1 of the Cozy Celebrations Event!

Japchae is a level 1 Cooking skill recipe, so anyone can make it.

Learning about Traditions Quest Conclusion

Congratulations! You’ve taken your first steps in completing the Cozy Celebrations Event! The first set of tasks have been easy to get you started, and you’ve already unlocked some rewards. Roll on the next quest!

Cozy Celebrations Event Quest 1 Rewards

Since this is the very first quest of the Cozy Celebrations Event and the tasks are easy, you don’t get that many points to begin with. Still, you’ve earned enough to unlock two rather cool and festive rewards to get you started and decorating your Sims’ homes for the holidays. Let’s check them out:

  • Cozy Festive Wreath: This wreath can be hung on any wall to give any Lot that festive look. Note that it only has one swatch.
  • Festive Hedge Collection: You get two different hedges decorated in stunning festive lights. Unlike the wreath, this is customizable. You can change the color of the leaves between green and red, and choose different colors for the lights, including white, blue, and rainbow.
The wreath and lit-up hedges are a good place to start with decorating for the holidays.

Cozy Celebrations Event Quest 1 Conclusion

That pretty much wraps up the first quest of The Sims 4‘s brand-new Cozy Celebrations Event. There are only 3 simple tasks in this quest, but it gets you started, and there are five quests to go yet. Remember that even though the quests are released over three weeks, you have over a month to complete the whole event, so there’s plenty of time. Stay tuned for Quest 2 of the Cozy Celebrations Event in The Sims 4!
