The Sims 4 Blast From the Past Event Week 4 Guide

The final part of the Blast From the Past Event in The Sims 4 has arrived, and even though it is very short and sweet, we'll take you through everything you need to do and the final rewards you can unlock to ensure that you don't miss anything.

The Sims 4 Blast From the Past Event Week 4 Guide

If you’ve been doing all the quests for The Sims 4‘s Blast From the Past Event, congratulations on getting this far! It’s certainly been an interesting journey since Emit Relevart arrived in the game, but in this fourth and final week, it’s time to wrap up the event and say a fond farewell to the eccentric-yet-totally-awesome time traveler. To make sure you complete all the necessary tasks to wrap up both quests and the event as a whole, plus get those final set of rewards, this guide will take you through it all. Don’t worry; this week’s quests are ridiculously short and sweet, and you’ll be done in no time at all!

If you want a recap on the previous weeks of the Blast From the Past Event, take a look at our guides:

Hidden Motives Quest Walkthrough

Total Quest Event Points: 50

We start off Week 4 of the Blast From the Past Event by continuing off from last week’s quests. We discovered a thief and what they were doing, but why? That’s what this week’s first quest is all about!

Report to Emit on the Experiment

Event Points: 35

After what happened last week, there’s a lot to report to Emit. You can probably see where this is going. Yep, you need to go and talk to Emit!

For this task, you need to:

  • Find Emit, either at Magnolia Blossom Park in Willow Creek, or by calling him over to your current location.
  • Select Emit and choose the interaction Report on Experiment.
  • Wait for Emit and your Sim to finish the interaction.
Hey Emit, do you remember what happened last week, because I can't!

Send a Time Traveling Email to the Thief

Event Points: 35

To get answers from the thief, Emit makes a suggestion. By using the time infused computer you previously overclocked, you could send an email to the thief simply asking them what you want to know.

To do this, you need to:

  • Find a computer. Ideally, you want to use the same computer you used the Overclock interaction on before.
  • Select the computer and choose Send Time Traveling Email.
  • Wait for your Sim to finish. It may take a little while, so be patient!
Right then, you pesky thief - it's time to crack this case!

Retrieve the Thief’s Letter From the Mailbox

Event Points: 35

Wait a minute, your Sim already has a letter from the thief in their mail? How did that happen? Anyway, if you want answers from them, you should get that letter!

All you need to do is:

  • Select your Sim’s mailbox and choose Get Thief’s Letter. It will then appear in your Sim’s Inventory.
Wait, there was a letter? Why didn't I know about this before!

Read the Thief’s Letter

Event Points: 35

You now have the thief’s letter in your possession. You might as well read it!

You just need to:

  • Open your Sim’s Inventory.
  • Find the Thief’s Letter
  • Select the letter and choose Read Thief’s Letter.
Let see what this thief has to say for themselves!

Hidden Motives Quest Conclusion

And that’s it! No, really, that is it. I did say it was short and sweet, didn’t I? But wait! We’ve got one more quest to go! Don’t worry though, as this one is even shorter still!

The Good Thief Quest Walkthrough

Total Quest Event Points: 50

Well, this is it! The final quest in the Blast From the Past Event in The Sims 4. With the mystery solved, there’s just one final thing to do to wrap this event up.

Tell Emit About the Thief’s True Intentions

Event Points: 35

As it turns out, the thief didn’t mean any harm. They were just trying to save items from the past to use in the future. They’re also very sorry if they caused any upset. What a nice thief! Well, with this major update, you should inform Emit and wrap this case up.

Just like before, you need to:

  • Find Emit at Magnolia Blossom Park or summon him to your current location.
  • Select Emit and use the interaction Tell about Thief’s True Intentions.
Emit, guess what? The thief is sorry!

Emit, guess what? The thief is sorry!

Say Goodbye to Emit

Event Points: 35

When you tell Emit the story, he accepts it. And with that, the case is officially closed. Which means… it’s time for Emit to leave, whether for the past or future, he doesn’t know. What we do know is that this means we have to say goodbye to the good time traveler.

This final sad task is very simple:

  • Select Emit and use the interaction Say Goodbye.

Once you do this, Emit will leave whatever location you’re at and disappear. For good. He’ll remain in your Sim’s Relationship panel, and there are some social interactions available, if you did want to keep in touch. However, the option to invite him over is no longer available.

The Good Thief Quest Conclusion

That’s it! It’s over! The Blast From the Past Event is officially done and dusted. Congratulations! There’s nothing more to do now, except enjoy the new rewards you have unlocked not just in this week, but the previous weeks as well. Have fun!

Blast From the Past Week 4 Rewards

The last set of rewards ensure that the Blast From the Past Event ends on a high note. Altogether, there are 7 to claim, including the following:

  • Surprise Birthday Cake: This is a very special object. It technically serves as a huge cake, with up to 12 servings! You can also place candles on the cake, just like any birthday cake. Not only that, but this cake has a very special feature. Your Sim can choose Hide in Cake and they will do that just! Once inside, you can select the cake and the option Surprise! should be available. Doing this has your Sim burst out from the top, singing and dancing. It’s really good fun! Note that you can only do this once per cake, as afterwards, this option won’t be available. The cake is available in the Buy Catalog for 800 Simoleons.
  • The ElectroDance Floor: Do your Sims like to dance? Then you’ll really like this new dance floor! This works just like any other dance floor in The Sims 4. It costs 600 Simoleons.
  • Instant Hygiene Potion: This free potion is useful if your Sim needs to fulfil their Hygiene motive in a hurry, or there’s no access to a shower, bath, or other means of getting washed.
  • 500 Simoleons: Free money? Yes, please!
  • Energized Potion: Need to get your Sim into an Energized Mood, such as for a big workout? This potion has you covered!
  • 25 Satisfaction Points: Extra Satisfaction Points, oh goodie!
  • Happy Potion: Cheer your Sims up with this Happy Potion!
  • Milk Carton Collectible Plaque: There’s one extra thing I almost forgot to mention. If you collected all six milk cartons from the first three weeks of the Blast From the Past Event (you don’t get anymore this week), in the mail, you’ll receive a plaque as a reward, which you can hang on your wall. It’s just a nice little extra.

Blast From the Past Week 4 Conclusion

And that, as they say, is that! That really is it for The Sims 4‘s Blast From the Past Event. I hope you enjoyed completing this event and the rewards you gained. Remember that you still have time to complete Blast From the Past if you haven’t yet, as you’ve got until March 10th before it ends.

In other news, don’t forget that the newest Expansion Pack, The Sims 4 Businesses & Hobbies, will come out on March 6th. Pre-ordering is available now, and you can gain three exclusive bonus items with the Set Up Shop Bonus Digital Content.

Also, a new update has just dropped in The Sims 4 base game, bringing with it the return of burglars! Your Sims had better watch out for unwanted midnight visitors, and don’t forget to buy that alarm!
