Get to Work Expansion Pack
Get to Work was the first ever Expansion Pack released for The Sims 4, and not only did it introduce 3 active careers, but it also granted your Sims the ability to run their own business. The Sims 4 Get to Work also added a brand-new skill: Baking. This activity is fun to learn and do if you like to cook, and can be done with a stove, as well as the cupcake factory object. As your Sims develop their Baking skill, they will unlock more recipes to create. You can make a ton of goodies, such as donuts, cakes, pies, bread, and more. Plus, you can make money from your baked creations by setting up your own bakery business. Or, if you have the Home Chef Hustle Stuff Pack (which we’ll go into more later), you can sell your baked goods via the sale stand.
With Get to Work installed, you can make a lot more with the cupcake factory.
Get Together Expansion Pack
Get Together is the Expansion that introduces the club system to The Sims 4, plus it comes with the brilliant world of Windenberg.
This Expansion adds two creative skills that cater for more musical people: dancing and DJ mixing. The DJ booth is added with this pack. You can find it at nightclub venues, or buy your own. Don’t be shy in trying them out!
Dancing is also a fun and energetic skill that gets your Sims moving and on their feet on the dance floor. You can also dance in groups, which is good fun to watch.
Creative partygoing players might take a fancy to DJ mixing and dancing with The Sims 4 Get Together EP.
City Living Expansion Pack
The core theme of this Expansion for The Sims 4 is in its title: it gets your Sims living in the big city. In bustling San Myshuno, you are surrounded by skyscrapers and even get to live in them via apartments and penthouses. Aside from this, City Living does offer some new creative activities for your Sims, as well as careers.
One activity that creative players should enjoy is spray painting. On a designated patch of wall or floor, Sims can spray paint to produce striking works of art, whether it be graffiti or murals. Spray painting isn’t a skill in itself; it’s part of the base game’s Painting skill. Murals also take notably longer to complete than even the biggest traditional canvas paintings, plus you can’t sell them for profit, and if you want to make another mural, you’ll have to find another patch or scrub the old one and start again. Still, even with these minor downsides, it’s still something to watch a stunning mural come together and finally be finished. Plus, other Sims can help you and join in with the painting, which is quite companionable.
The Sims 4 City Living also adds 3 new careers: Politics, Social Media, and Critic. The Critic career is of particular interest to those who like to be creative and get paid for it. This career goes off into two branches: Art Critic and Food Critic. It is also an active career, so if your Sim opts to work from home, they may be given activities related to their respective branches. The career reward objects you unlock are pretty good too.
There’s another creative activity courtesy of City Living: singing! The Singing skill is added with this pack, and your Sims can belt out a tune or two down at the karaoke bar in the city, or buy one to practice with at home.

Seasons Expansion Pack
The Sims 4 Seasons is a top Expansion Pack, almost a must-have. Adding the four seasons and weather to the game really adds some flavor. With the theme of the changing seasons though, the Gardening skill was given a revamp, originally from the base game. Not only that, but there’s a new skill that you should try out, especially if you love gardening and being creative: flower arranging.
The flower arranging bench is a new object that comes with Seasons, and as you work on your skill, you can come up with lots of different beautiful flower arrangements. You can even add that final touch by customizing the vase the flowers sit in. You can keep the arrangements you’ve made, or sell them for a decent profit. The brand-new Gardening career even has a branch dedicated just to flower arranging, ideal if you grow to love this activity (no puns intended!)
For younger Sims, The Sims 4 Seasons offers some new creative activities at the activity table. They can craft decorations with different holiday themes, such as Love Day, Halloween, Winter, New Year’s Countdown, Thanksgiving, Harvest, and more. This gives your young ‘uns a lot more options for being creative other than just drawing pictures at the table or play the violin or piano.
Sims and players who like botany will love the Flower Arranging skill and activity in The Sims 4 Seasons.
Get Famous Expansion Pack
The Sims 4 Get Famous is all about making your Sims famous and turning them into celebrities, whether they become successful actors or get famous by another means.
The Actor career is a big highlight with Get Famous. It’s fun to do and creative, with lots of gigs to try out. Your Sims not only have to get good at Acting, but other skills are called for as well, such as Charisma, but also being able to play the guitar. You’ll see your Sims having gigs where they have to sing and dance a little as well. It’s good fun going with your Sim to the film set and watching them act their scenes, whether they’re doing a commercial, TV show, or a blockbuster movie.
If you want to get more creative with Get Famous, you might want to look into the Media Production skill. This incorporates two new objects: the robot camera and the media production workspace. Your Sims can essentially become social media stars by filming videos of different topics. There are a lot of possibilities and it’s good fun coming up with new stuff. Your Sims can also add that finishing touch to their videos by editing them and adding effects to boost their ratings. If you want your Sims to be really successful, you should focus on making videos that are trending.
As well as acting and the Actor career, Sims can make money from videos with the Media Production skill.
Eco Lifestyle Expansion Pack
The Sims 4 Eco Lifestyle Expansion mainly focuses on letting your Sims live a more eco-friendly life, for those who are curious or passion about finding ways to help the environment. Watching the voted developments of the individual neighborhoods of Evergreen Harbor are certainly fascinating and it’s fun to see the creativity behind it. However, Eco Lifestyle also includes a few activities that creative players might be interested in.
Fabrication is a new skill and activity added with Eco Lifestyle. This allows your Sims to do two new creative activities: crafting their own furniture, and creating candles. With The Sims 4 base game, you can already craft homemade furniture via the woodworking table. The fabricator via Eco Lifestyle gives you more options. There are a lot of items you can make, providing you have a high enough Fabrication skill, or you can unlock more by enthusing about the activity with other Sims, and you can even customize the color with special fabric dyes. If you enjoy this activity, you should sign up for the Civil Designer career.
The Fabrication skill also lets you craft candles at a special workstation. You do need wax blocks to make them though, and certain ingredients, but it’s still a fun creative activity if you’re willing to gather the resources and fancy this as a side hustle.
There’s more creative activities with Eco Lifestyle, and that comes in the form of the Juice Fizzing skill and station. You can make a variety of different drinks with this and make a decent side hustle.
The Sims 4 Eco Lifestyle offers some interesting new activities.
Cottage Living Expansion Pack
Cottage Living is the perfect pack for those who love Cottagecore and want that escape to the countryside, growing crops and caring for farm animals. This Expansion also adds a suitably appropriate rustic and relaxing creative activity: cross stitching. You only start off with a few basic patterns to do, and Sims are prone to hurting their fingers which halts progress for a while, but once your Sims master the skill of cross stitch, they’ll be stitching endless patterns for hours.
If you want to get more patterns, you’ll have to earn them by completing errands around the village, or with assistance from wild furry and feathered friends. Alternatively, you can just use cheats if you don’t want to get all the patterns the hard way.
Cross stitch is a creative and relaxing activity that comes with The Sims 4 Cottage Living.
High School Years Expansion Pack
The Sims 4 High School Years includes a feature that fashionista players might take an interest in, and that’s putting together bold new looks. At ThrifTea, the bubble tea shop in Copperdale, your Sims can create a look that they can then try and sell over Trendi. In a sense, it’s a little like putting together your own Styled Look. It’s good fun making your own looks and seeing what you ultimately come up with.

This is an interesting activity that can become easily profitable after you get the hang of how it works.

Vampires Game Pack
Yes, The Sims 4 Vampires is all about vampires, but it does also add a new activity for creative players and Sims. If you’re looking for another musical instrument to learn, why not try something a little more unusual like the pipe organ, which comes with Vampires. It even has its own Pipe Organ skill, separating itself from the Piano skill.
Vampires primarily focuses on the new supernatural group in The Sims 4, but also includes the new Pipe Organ.
Dream Home Decorator Game Pack
The first of just two Game Packs in this list for The Sims 4 starts with Dream Home Decorator, which introduces the interior decorator career to your Sims. Your Sims will have to use their creativity in interior design if they want to be successful. This career is ideal if you enjoy decorating homes in The Sims 4.
The interior designer career requires a degree of creativity.
My Wedding Stories Game Pack
If you love planning weddings (or even just the whole concept of weddings), The Sims 4 My Wedding Stories is perfect for you. Seriously, everything you can think of related to weddings is covered in this Game Pack.
One thing you can do if you like being creative is making your own wedding cakes. You need to have at least a level 1 Gourmet Cooking skill though, and for that, you need at least level 5 Cooking – and that’s just for the first wedding cake recipe. If you want access to the whole lot, you’ll need to seriously work on your Gourmet Cooking skills. Nevertheless, it’s worth it because it’s good fun making your own wedding cakes, and there are lots of recipes, designs and colors available. You can even add a special wedding topping to complete it.
Unless you have a high Gourmet Cooking skill, only the cupcake wedding cake will be available to make.
Cool Kitchen Stuff Pack
We’re now onto the Stuff Packs of The Sims 4, the first one being Cool Kitchen that adds some extra creativity to your game, in regards to food. If you love ice cream, then you’ll love Cool Kitchen, which comes with the ice cream maker. Based on how good your Cooking skill is, you can make a whole variety of different ice creams, some with unusual side effects! One addition that is quite nifty is being able to choose your own toppings and garnishes. It’s interesting seeing what combinations you come up with.
Making ice cream is just the start. It’s combining the different toppings and garnishes that gets creative.
Moschino Stuff Pack
Moschino doesn’t just add the titular clothing items to The Sims 4. It also gives your Sims a fun and interesting new freelance career to do: fashion photographer! This is actually quite a well thought out career track, complete with professional backdrops, a tripod for your camera, and models for hire. You can even style your models via Create-A-Sim to give them that perfect look you want for your fashion shoot.
Being a fashion photographer with The Sims 4 Moschino Stuff is good fun.
Nifty Knitting Stuff Pack
You might think it’s a bit odd having knitting as the theme for a Stuff Pack for The Sims 4, but this does add a fun and creative activity for your Sims to do. Plus, even children can do it! With The Sims 4 Nifty Knitting Stuff Pack, your Sims start off knitting beanies, then socks, and they unlock more things to knit as they gain knitting experience. There are a lot of items you can knit, not just clothing, but decorative items as well such as mailbox cozies, hanging baskets, rugs, poufs, and more. Knitted items can be donated to charity, or even sold on the fictional website Plopsy to get a little cash. This knitting-mad Stuff Pack even includes its own aspiration for true knitting fanatics.

Home Chef Hustle Stuff Pack
This pack is another one for people who like all things cooking and baking. Home Chef Hustle allows your Sim to set up their own baked goods stall and sell their creations. You can pretty much sell anything you cook or bake. Home Chef Hustle also includes a few more options in the kitchen for your Sim, namely the waffle maker, pizza oven, and even a mixer so you can make your own fresh ingredients.
If you want more cooking in The Sims 4, Home Chef Hustle is the ideal Stuff Pack.
Crystal Creations Stuff Pack
The last pack on this list is the latest, The Sims 4 Crystal Creations Stuff. This pack grants your Sims the ability to craft beautiful pieces of jewelry using the gems they find out in the world. Gemology is a creative skill to learn, allowing you to pick the type of jewelry you want to make, the design, and the materials such as the metal and gemstone. Creating jewelry can be a lengthy process, but it is a rewarding skill, and can make your Sims a tidy profit if they make a good side hustle out of it.
