Grange Mudroom Kit
The Sims 4 Grange Mudroom is a Creator Kit from peacemaker with around 20 objects designed to go in a hallway or entrance-type room. Think of a place where you can store your shoes and boots, hang your coat or jacket, keep your stuff stored, and stuff you toss aside when you arrive home. As the description for this Kit suggests, the entryway is the first step into your Sims’ lives, and with these objects, you can make a first impression.

However, there’s nothing stopping you from using these objects elsewhere, and they can easily fit in with any other type of room in The Sims 4. Verdict
I’ll admit that when Grange Mudroom Kit was first revealed, I wasn’t sure about it. A Kit focusing on hallways? I wasn’t sure it was worth it and very nearly passed it over. But there was a part of me that wanted to check it out (and because I wanted to review it), so in the end I got it. So, was it worth it? As it turns out, absolutely!
My initial scepticism quickly evaporated when I started looking through all the new stuff. I was very pleased with everything on offer, and pleasantly surprised. I actually love the stuff that comes with Grange Mudroom. The objects are well-designed and thought-out, and it all comes together very nicely.
I had fun sprucing up the neglected hallways of my Sims’ apartment, transforming them into a cozy, stylish, and practical space. I especially like the new storage and display objects, and the new wall patterns. I can see myself using these objects to add that extra touch to my Sims’ homes, so this Kit won’t be going to waste.
Overall, my final score for The Sims 4 Grange Mudroom Kit is a 9 out of 10.
Grange Mudroom is better than you might expect it to be and contains a lot of assets that can be used anywhere, not just for hallways.
Essential Glam Kit
The next Kit released on August 21st, 2025 for The Sims 4 is a little different to Grange Mudroom. For one thing, it’s not an object Kit, but instead a first for The Sims 4: a Kit that adds new make-up! The Sims 4 Essential Glam Kit is another Creator Kit, this time by crypticsim. This Kit expands on the existing make-up options, such as new eyeshadow, eyeliner, blusher, lipstick, lipgloss, and face paint such as foundation and beauty marks. Verdict
The Sims 4 Essential Glam was another Kit I was wondering if I should really bother with. Just like Grange Mudroom, I went for it and was very pleased I did. I’ve been wanting more make-up in The Sims 4, and I got my wish with Essential Glam. I especially like that there’s a mix of brightly-colored make-up and neutral tones, depending on the occasion for your Sim and the outfit their make-up is going to complement. I think I’ll definitely be using the new make-up.
For my final score, I’ll be giving The Sims 4 Essential Glam Kit a 9 out of 10.
Final Conclusion
Grange Mudroom and Essential Glam turned out to be rather pleasant surprises in terms of how good their content was and the value of each Kit. It may have something to do with them being Creator Kits, which generally turn out to be at least pretty good. It’s one of those cases where upon first impression you wonder if it’s worth getting, only to be proven wrong once you check it all out for yourself.
