As the name suggests, it is themed entirely around the curious adventures of Alice in Wonderland, including rabbits, dormouse, roses, tea parties, hats, the Queen of Hearts; everything you could imagine from an Alice in Wonderland-themed Kit. Specifically, the objects are designed to create a children’s play space, which includes new furniture, decorations, and even new wallpapers and flooring.

When The Sims 4 Wonderland Playroom Kit was first revealed, I was excited. I like the theme of Alice in Wonderland, its wonderful and colorful whimsiness, so I was looking forward to getting this one. Fortunately, upon getting it and checking out the new objects, I was not disappointed.
Every single item in this Kit plays homage to Alice in Wonderland, and they are all glorious. They’re fun, creative, cheerful, and brightly colored. All the items come in a vast array of delightful colors and patterns. Children’s playrooms will be completely transformed with these objects.
A few favorite highlights for me include the clock-design desk, the floor lamp, the book nook, and the wallpaper.
If I did have to give The Sims 4 Wonderland Playroom Kit any negatives, I have a few, but they’re quite minor.
- Some of the objects are quite big, so you’d struggle to fit them into a small space.
- Although the Kit specifies objects for a playroom, it would have been nice if this had also been tailored around a bedroom, so as to include a new bed, dresser, and wardrobe.
- The objects are quite expensive, many of them costing hundreds each, which means that you may not be able to afford building a playroom with all the objects if Household Funds are low.
Wonderland Playroom has different colors, so it can be bright or darker.

For someone who was excited to get their hands on this Kit, I was very impressed with The Sims 4 Wonderland Playroom Kit. It’s full of fun and whimsy and totally uniquely-designed objects. I can see myself using the contents of this Kit quite a bit. Regardless of the negative points I listed above, I think this Kit is simply wonderful.

The second new Kit we’re looking at is The Sims 4 Yard Charm Kit, which is a Creator Kit by Ravasheen. This Kit focuses on new modern items designed for outdoor use, not just the backyard, but the front as well. The items have been designed to be modern, stylish, and sophisticated. With this Kit, you can find new items like a hot tub, outdoor lighting, decorations, and more.

Analysis of Yard Charm
When The Sims 4 Yard Charm Kit was first shown, it made me think of previous packs themed around backyard spaces like Perfect Patio and Backyard. I wondered where Yard Charm would fit amongst these Kits, but as it turns out, it has its own unique identity thanks to the inclusion of not just backyard stuff, but front yard stuff, too. I wasn’t expecting to get new items like a mailbox, doormat, and house address signs.
The Sims 4 Yard Charm Kit adds plenty of neat items to not only modernize, but also personalize your outdoor space. The bold color swatches are especially pleasing.
My personal favorite objects from this Kit include the new hot tub, house address signs, colorful floor lamps, and the new mailbox.
I think I can see myself using these new objects in the future. I like creating a warm, cozy, and relaxing outdoor space for my Sims, and you can’t do better than a hot tub! Plus, I love the colorful floor lamps. They look beautiful when it’s dark and they turn on, glowing bright colors.
Also, these objects as a whole aren’t very expensive. Even the hot tub is only just over 1,000 Simoleons, making it more affordable even for households with a smaller budget.
The colored glowing lights are a special highlight for Yard Charm, as well as the hot tub.
Final Verdict of The Sims 4 Yard Charm Kit
I’ll admit that at first, I wasn’t too sure if I’d like The Sims 4 Yard Charm Kit, but I was pleasantly surprised. I like the selection of objects, and I like the different colors they come in. Plus, they can really spruce up any outdoor space if you want to modernize it.
My final score for The Sims 4 Yard Charm Kit is 8 out of 10.
Conclusion: Are the Kits Worth It and Which Is Better?
Now that I’ve analyzed The Sims 4 Wonderland Playroom and Yard Charm Kits, the last thing to discuss is whether they’re worth getting, and which one I like best.
The first question is whether these Kits, Wonderland Playroom and Yard Charm are worth the $4.99 price tag each. The answer: yes. They are both worth getting. The Sims 4 Wonderland Playroom Kit is wonderfully fun, bright, and whimsical, sure to bring life and joy to any child’s playroom. The Sims 4 Yard Charm Kit adds plenty of style and sophistication to any outdoor space in a domestic dwelling, especially for a modern setting.
The final question is more personal, and that is: which Kit do I personally prefer more? Wonderland Playroom or Yard Charm? While both Kits have their own great selection of worthwhile objects, my personal favorite in this double-release is Wonderland Playroom. I love the whole Alice in Wonderland theming, and the objects are fun, creative, unique, bright, and cheerful.
At the end of it though, I think I’ll be using content from both Kits, as they both bring something worthwhile to The Sims 4: Wonderland Playroom adds a fun playspace for kids, while Yard Charm creates a sophisticated outdoor space for homes.
