Cyberpunk 2077: Overpowered Superhero Build

Struggling to decide what attributes and skills to focus on during your journey in Night City? In this guide, I will take you through a very easy and satisfying melee build that focuses on taking enemies out like an overpowered superhero.

There are many build options in CD Projekt Red’s latest release, which I’m sure many users are still getting to grips with. The skill trees are vast and complicate, slightly reminding me of the formula established within Gearbox’s Borderlands series. From a deadly hitman to a sneaky thief, Cyberpunk covers all play styles, especially for an overpowered build.

For my playthrough, I decided to try and find something different, something I had not seen before. Thus, I settled on creating Night City’s saviour, much like what Batman is to Gotham, a cyber-hero of the night, taking advantage of the mechanics available in the game. Ultimately, I found great success with this build, taking enemies out in a quick, heroic fashion, whether that be from the ground or the rooftops, so let’s get into it!

Body and Cool Skill Trees

Firstly, we must go through the attributes and perks you will need in order to execute this build. For this, I will simply go through the main perks and attributes essential for the build, leaving any extra perk points you have up to preference.

The attributes to focus on for this build are simple. Body is the most important attribute in the game, in my opinion, providing your build with a steady foundation for both health and stamina. However, more importantly, the Street Brawler section of Body scales your stats for blunt weapons, aka the Monowire, which is essentially the main weapon used for this build.

Further, Cool is another vital attribute for this build to work, allowing for more Batman-esque stealth options and, most importantly, critical damage. The Cold Blood section of Cool introduces a stacking passive ability that activates after defeating an enemy. This stacking passive essentially adds movement speed, attack speed and melee damage. This can be lethal, as the more enemies you kill in succession, the longer you will have your stats increased.

As for the perks within this build, there are two main categories you should invest your points into, Street Brawler and Cold Blood. These sections offer a combined increase in damage output, health regeneration and critical hit chance.

Cyberware: Monowire and Fortified Ankles

The Cyberware for this build includes the Monowire and Fortified Ankles. These upgrades are what essentially turns your character into Night City’s superhero, allowing you to thrust jump from rooftop to rooftop, slinging an electrical wire from your arm.

If you’re liking the idea of the build but think it lacks in range, I find that pairing the Monowire along with a sniper can be especially effective. Taking advantage of the crit damage skills you will acquire through the Cool attribute, as well as acquiring the Covering Killshot skill in the Assault section of Reflexes, a good sniper can complete this build, covering you at pretty much all ranges. The critical damage you can get from a headshot with this build, especially when peeking from cover, can one-shot most enemies from afar.

Check out this video above to see how effective you can be with these Cyberware upgrades and attributes. If you enjoyed this guide for an overpowered build in Cyberpunk 2077, feel free to leave a comment and if you happen to use this build, let me know how it goes!
