A fan asked about free Cyberpunk DLC on the game’s Twitter, their curiosity based on the fact that developer CD Projekt Red’s previous game, The Witcher 3, had 16 free DLC’s released. These were small additions, like armour sets, hair and beard sets, Gwent (the in-game card game) cards, Witcher contracts and finisher animations, but they were free nevertheless. CD Projekt Red stated the fan’s inquiry for answers with a delightful GIF that offered confirmation.

There’s yet to be any clarification of what this free Cyberpunk DLC will involve, but it’s safe to assume cosmetics and additional quests will very likely be on offer, given that’s the sort of content The Witcher 3 gave to players. Both on their own Twitter and that of Cyberpunk 2077’s, CD Projekt Red has been frequent in their updates regarding the game, so we’ll be eagerly awaiting any news.
Confirmation of free Cyberpunk DLC is surely good news for players since the game was recently delayed again from September 17 to November 19. This appears to be a case of applying that extra necessary polish, as is often the case in late-game development, including the combat. Recently, CD Projekt Red mentioned that melee combat in Cyberpunk 2077 is still being developed, consistently getting tweaked to feel just right for launch.
