6 Cyberpunk 2077 Builds Based on Edgerunners Anime Characters

This Cyberpunk 2077 build guide will assist you in recreating any of the major characters from the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners anime series. Everything from attributes and skill points to Cyberware implants and their mods is covered here. The builds are entertaining to play, highly customizable, and make the game feel ridiculously simple.

6 Cyberpunk 2077 Builds Based on the Edgerunners Anime Characters

Follow this Cyberpunk 2077 build guide if you want to explore Night City as one of the main characters from Cyberpunk: Edgerunners. Players of the game have been flocking back to it after watching this insanely popular Netflix anime series. There are many intriguing characters in the show, and each one of them has a distinct skill set and belong to a lore-friendly class.

Fortunately, the show was created in such a way that almost everything shown in it corresponds to the game itself. This means that you can recreate any of these specializations in the game. The builds provided below have attempted to emulate the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners characters as closely as possible.

Furthermore, you need not worry about which Edgerunners character will be easier to play than others. When used as intended, each of these builds is just as potent. The David Martinez build, for example, is geared toward melee (Gorilla Arms), whereas the Lucy build is solely for netrunners. However, the builds can be changed a bit, such as becoming a Sandevistan cyberninja instead of a Gorilla Arms-based brawler.

Cyberpunk: Edgerunners Character Builds

David Martinez (Brawler)

David is the protagonist of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners and his build is centered around physicality. As a result, you will need some extensive body modification, with the Sandevistan being the most appealing part of this build. Here’s a brief look at the advantages of playing this build:

  • Near-immortal state thanks to super-fast health regeneration.
  • Enemies can barely scratch you since you can literally slow time.
  • Combat encounters are over in the blink of an eye.
The ability to slow time indefinitely makes David a near-unstoppable killing machine.

Attributes

This is the final attribute setup that you need to ‘complete’ this build. This can be achieved by the end game but before maxing out your level. The maximum attribute points you can achieve in the game is 71, so there’s a bit of a wiggle room for deciding what to do with the last 2 points. This applies to most of the characters here in this Cyberpunk 2077 build guide.

  • Body – 18
  • Reflexes – 18
  • Technical Ability – 18
  • Cool – 12
  • Intelligence – 3

Raising Technical Ability above 18 is quite pointless, as the most useful perks are all gained at 18 points. Hence, you’re better off raising any of the other attributes instead. The same goes for Intelligence, which is the least useful Attribute for this build and is more important in the next one instead.

Cyberware/Equipment

  • Legendary Gorilla Arms
  • Rare Reinforced Tendons
  • QianT Sandevistan Mk.4

The QianT Sandevistan Mk.4 is vital as it offers the lowest cooldown among all Legendary Sandevistans. You will also require the Legendary Heatsink to reduce the cooldown effect drastically. This way, you can emulate David’s ability to use the Sandevistan time slowdown effect indefinitely. Here’s a guide that tells you how to get the Legendary Heatsink easily.

Lucy (Melee/Netrunner)

Although netrunning is where she truly excels, Lucy is also quite efficient at melee combat with a Monowire. The Monowire is a ridiculously powerful Cyberware implant which has the longest range and the highest DPS of any melee weapon in Cyberpunk 2077. Netrunning is by itself scarily powerful, and allows for easy crowd control, as long as stealth is maintained. Here’s what this build offers:

  • Versatile switching between quickhacking and melee combat.
  • More opportunity for stealthy gameplay.
  • Exceptional crowd control.
Lucy is adept at netrunning as well as melee combat.

Lucy is adept at netrunning as well as melee combat.

Attributes

  • Body – 18
  • Reflexes – 18
  • Technical Ability – 3
  • Cool – 12
  • Intelligence – 20

As expected, Intelligence is the most important attribute for this build. Unlike the previous one, however, there’s no wiggle room as you will need to invest all 71 of your attribute points.

Cyberware/Equipment

  • Legendary Monowire
  • Legendary Kerenzikov
  • NetWatch Netdriver Mk.5

With a buffer size of 8, 11 base RAM, and support for up to six Quickhacks, the NetWatch Netdriver Mk.5 is perfect for a build focused on Lucy. An alternative to this is the Raven Microcyber Mk.4, which has a base RAM of 10, a buffer size of 8, and allows for the same amount of quickhacks.

Rebecca (Shotgun Berserker)

Rebecca is a popular character among Cyberpunk: Edgerunners fans, and many of them want to play as her just to exact revenge on Adam Smasher. She has her own weapon in the game, and her versatility with all types of weapons makes this build a lot of fun to play. This build offers the following:

  • Extremely versatile build suitable for all types of firearms.
  • Run-and-gun gameplay.
Rebecca's unique shotgun is available in the game.

Rebecca’s unique shotgun is available in the game.

Attributes

Rebecca’s attribute points are virtually identical to David’s, so this will allow you great freedom to create your build as you see fit. You may even mix and match their skills if needed.

  • Body – 18
  • Reflexes – 18
  • Technical Ability – 18
  • Cool – 12
  • Intelligence – 3

Cyberware/Equipment

  • Guts
  • Militech Berserk Mk.5
  • Legendary Kerenzikov

Playing as Rebecca in Cyberpunk 2077 wouldn’t be complete without acquiring her iconic shotgun, and thankfully, it is rather easy to find. It is located behind three meditating monks among some shrubs in the southern section of Corpo Plaza’s Memorial Park.

Maine (Solo Tank)

Maine is the leader of the crew that David ends up joining, and as such, he is the beefiest guy around. His build is very similar to Rebecca’s, but the addition of a Projectile Launch System makes him all the more cooler. Maine is quite the brute, and is perfect if you want to be a really menacing edgerunner in Cyberpunk 2077.

  • A tanky build like David’s, but with guns.
  • Centered around smart link weaponry.
Unlike in the show, you won't get cyberpscyhosis in the game.

Unlike in the show, you won’t get cyberpsychosis in the game.

Attributes

Again, Maine’s build is very similar to David and Rebecca, with David’s tank-like physical capabilities and Rebecca’s firearms expertise.

  • Body – 18
  • Reflexes – 15
  • Technical Ability – 18
  • Cool – 16
  • Intelligence – 3

Cyberware/Equipment

  • Legendary Projectile Launch System/Gorilla Arms
  • Epic Kerenzikov
  • Legendary L-69 Zhuo

The Projectile Launch System is the most disappointing cyberware implant in Cyberpunk 2077, and it’s nothing like how the anime portrays it to be. It can’t be used in conjunction with Gorilla Arms like Maine does in the show. Hence, you have to choose between the two, depending on the type of gameplay you prefer. Since Reflexes is limited to 15, you’ll have to resort to the Epic variant of the Kerenzikov instead of the Legendary one.

Kiwi (Pure Netrunner)

Unlike Lucy, Kiwi is a traditional netrunner and as such, her build is completely dependent on Intelligence. This allows for manipulating targets from afar with quickhacks like Cyberpsychosis and Suicide. This build is also clearly meant for roleplaying purposes, as weapons will only be used as a distraction.

A build that is devoid of any weapons.

A build that is devoid of any weapons.

Attributes

As mentioned before, Kiwi’s build is specifically for netrunning and nothing else. As a result, things can get quite tough if you try to confront the enemy in direct combat. This is possibly the least versatile setup in this Cyberpunk 2077 build guide, but it’s also the most traditional.

  • Body – 3
  • Reflexes – 12
  • Technical Ability – 18
  • Cool – 18
  • Intelligence – 20

Cyberware/Equipment

  • Tetratronic Rippler Mk.4

The Tetratronic Rippler Mk.4 reduces the quickhack upload time by 75%, and allows Ultimate quickhacks to spread to one additional target. As a result, your most important weapons with this build are the overpowered ultimate quickhacks like Cyberpsychosis, Detonate Grenade, and Suicide.

Falco (Gunslinger)

Revolvers haven’t gone out of style in the 2070s, and Falco is the very proof of that in Cyberpunk: Edgerunners. His build is based around revolvers, and it definitely makes for an interesting gameplay experience in Cyberpunk 2077. Here’s what you can expect from this build:

  • Jack-of-all-trades build which can be utilized for guns as well as blades.
  • FPS-like experience where you have to rely more on your offensive skills.
  • Allows for the implementation of gun fu, as well as some really cool stealth kills.
Falco isn't just a driver, but also a skilled gunslinger.

Falco isn’t just a driver, but also a skilled gunslinger.

Attributes

This setup is very similar to Maine’s, but it trades out the tankiness in exchange for superior gunplay. The Falco build is better suited for FPS veterans who rely on their accuracy to survive a combat encounter. Alternatively, with this build, you can always roleplay as a stealthy hitman.

  • Body – 11
  • Reflexes – 20
  • Technical Ability – 18
  • Cool – 16
  • Intelligence – 3

Cyberware/Equipment

  • Techtronika RT-46 Burya
  • Legendary Subdermal Armor
  • QianT “Warp Dancer” Sandevistan Mk.5

The Burya can be replaced with an Overture if you prefer to take a more stealthy route. On the other hand, you can instead opt for the Comrade’s Hammer for devastating one-hit kills. This is further guaranteed by implementing the 50% additional Crit Damage bonus from the Warp Dancer Sandevistan.

Closing Points

All of the builds given here in this Cyberpunk 2077 build guide have been checked to be working with the game’s latest 1.61 patch. All of these Edgerunners character builds were based on the builds made by YouTuber KhrazeGaming, who has experimented with each and every build personally. The perks have not been outlined here as it would require individual articles for each build. However, it’s quite easy to figure it out once you have played through the game at least once.

Even if you’re only trying the game out for the first time, you only need to refer to the final attribute points as per this Cyberpunk: Edgerunners character builds guide. Alternatively, you can use the Respector mod from Nexus Mods for resetting all attributes and perks at any point during your playthrough.
