Cyberpunk 2077 To Have Massive Presence at Gamescom 2019

CD Projekt Red has announced extensive plans for Gamescom 2019, where it will show off its highly-anticipated title Cyberpunk 2077.

First and foremost, CD Projekt will present several live gameplay demos on the show floor. This will be the first time that the public will be able to view this live demonstration, which was previously only shown to select members of the press at E3 2019. Our own David Lozada got the chance to see that footage, so if you want to know what to expect, read his impressions. CD Projekt will also be showing a new demo behind closed doors exclusively for press and media figures. In the meantime, you can find the previous gameplay demo for the game below, which was released at Gamescom last year.

That’s not all that Cyberpunk has planned for the show. CD Projekt will also host a large-scale cosplay competition. Fans with the best costumes of characters from the game could win prizes from a cash pool of $40,000. The contest will begin at Gamescom, but attendees at other shows will likewise be able to participate, such as PAX West in Seattle and Tokyo Game Show in Japan. If you can’t make it to any of those events, you’ll also be able to submit your entries online. For more details on the competition, such as rules and how to enter, check out the official site.

Gamescom 2019 will take place in Cologne, Germany from August 20th – 24th. Cyberpunk 2077 will release on April 16, 2020 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
