Cyberpunk 2077

Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the most anticipated games of 2020 and naturally gamers are hungry for morsels of new information. Well, Miles Tost, senior level designer on the game, is here to sate your hunger. Via Cyberpunk 2077’s official Twitter, Miles shared a quick 47 second clip in which he discusses how character progression will work in the game.

In the short clip, Miles focuses on the example of weapons and your continued proficiency with them as you move throughout the game.

When you play the game — and we have it in the demo, not many people may have picked up on it — when you shoot or use your weapons, you actually increase your proficiency with them. That actually does increase your accuracy, your reload speed, and the really cool thing is, it also shows in the animations of your character. So your reloading will become smoother, your weapon handling will look cooler, and you will have a real degree of feeling like you’re progressing through the game.

From what we’ve seen, Cyberpunk 2077 is shaping up to be a deep RPG experience. Players will have several genders to choose from, three available prologues, and the ability to go through the entire game without killing a single person. I accept that CD Projekt Red will share more details at this year’s Gamescom in August; perhaps even releasing the behind the scenes E3 2019 demo to the public. They did a similar thing last year; check out the 2018 gameplay demo below.

KeenGamer writer David Lozada was lucky enough to see the behind scenes E3 2019 demo and shared some of his thoughts on what he saw.

Cyberpunk 2077 is currently available to pre-order for PlayStation, Xbox & PC.
