The Rush effect for Hearthstone cards enables a minion to attack another minion on the turn you play it. The Rush cards are defensive alternatives to Charge minions, which can attack the other playersโ heroes on the turn theyโre played. They can be invaluable additions to Hearthstone decks, as you can knock one, or maybe more, of your opponent’s minions off the board on the turn you play them. These are some of the best Rush cards in Hearthstone to craft.
1. Restless Mummy
Restless Mummy is a four-mana Warrior card that players can craft with just forty Arcane Dust. This is a 3/2 minion with Rush and Reborn effects. So, that means you can attack not once, but twice, on the turn you play this minion. That effectively gives Restless Mummy a six attack when you target a single minion. Therefore, players can take out quite a few six-mana minions with the Mummy. Alternatively, you can eliminate a couple of two-mana minions with it. So, this is a very strong and flexible Rush minion for a four-mana drop.
2. Zilliax
Zilliax is still one of the best Mech minions in Hearthstone. Granted, its 3/2 stats are poor for a five-mana minion. However, Zilliax is amazingly flexible with its Rush, Divine Shield, Taunt, Lifesteal, and Magnetic effects. On its own, it can regenerate six health for your hero and eliminate a two or three-mana minion while staying on the board.
Zilliax can become a real monster when you magnetize it to combine its stats with another Mech minion. For example, combining it with a 5/5 Mech on the battlefield will turn it into an 8/7 minion with Rush, Lifesteal, Divine Shield, Taunt! So, this is a must-have card for any Mech deck at least.
3. Walking Fountain
Walking Fountain is another very flexible Rush minion that can have a big impact on matches. This is an eight-mana minion with 4/8 stats you can play in Shaman decks. The great thing about Walking Fountain is that it also has Lifesteal and Windfury that combine with its Rush effect. Thus, you can attack twice with WF on any of your turns, which will regenerate eight health for your hero each turn. Windfury and Rush make for a good combination that effectively increases this minionโs attack to eight when attacking heroes. So, this is undoubtedly among the most potent Rush minions in Hearthstone.
4. Furious Felfin
The two-mana Furious Felfin Rush minion for Demon Hunter decks has three attack and two health. However, its attack increases to four when youโve attacked with your hero on the same turn you play this card. Itโs very easy to play Felfin in combination with Demon Hunterโs Claws power to activate its effect. A Rush minion with a four attack and two health is great value for a two-mana drop.
5. Zixor, Apex Predator
Zixor, Apex Predator is a three-mana legendary card that actually amounts to two Rush minions. Zixor, Apex is a 2/4 Rush minion with a Deathrattle that shuffles an eight-mana Zixor Prime card into your deck. The 2/4 minion isnโt that special, but its stats are ok for three mana.
The eight-mana Zixor Prime card you get with Apex is the really special one. Zixor Prime adds a 4/4 Rush minion to the battlefield that summons three copies of it. So, Prime actually adds four 4/4 Rush minions to the board, which can turn the battlefield on its head. With four 4/4 minions, you can wipe anywhere between two to four of your opponentโs minions off the board in a single turn. Therefore, this is an extremely flexible and strong Rush card to have up your sleeve.
Those are five of the best Rush minions in Hearthstone, which can have a big impact in matches. Siamat, Speaker Gidra, Faceless Corruptor, and Oondasta are also strong Rush cards that are worth noting.
