Hearthstone includes several Priest-class heroes (Anduin is the default one) that rely on some divine intervention to win matches. Priest-class players have many healing tricks up their sleeves and a potent array of removal spells to counter opponents’ minions with. Therefore, Priest is a more defensive hero class that’s well suited for control deck players. These are some of the best Priest cards in Hearthstone to craft.

1. Plague of Death
Plague of Death is the most potent board clearance card in Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft. This is an epic nine-mana spell that silences and wipes all minions off the board. As it silences minions, this card ensures Deathrattle effects can’t leave anything behind on the battlefield. So, this card is a big salvation whenever an opponent is in a dominant position on the board. It’s an ideal late-game card to counter zoo and aggro decks with.
2. Convincing Infiltrator
The Convincing Infiltrator card is a five-mana Taunt minion with two attack and six health. The beauty of this minion is its potent Deathrattle that destroys a random enemy minion on the board. Thus, Convincing Infiltrator will always eliminate an enemy minion (unless silenced); and it provides solid Taunt protection for your hero. This card is especially strong in Resurrect Priest decks that include cards that can resurrect Convincing Infiltrator or duplicate its Deathrattle effect to wipe out more enemy minions on the board.
3. The Nameless One
Nameless One is a legendary four-mana minion from the Madness at the Darkmoon Faire card set with 4/4 attack and health stats. This is one of the best Priest cards in Hearthstone because of its great Battlecry. That effect enables players to choose a minion (enemy or friendly) on the board for Nameless One to become a 4/4 copy of and silences the copied minion. So, this card nullifies an effect for a selected enemy minion and gives The Nameless One its effect.
For example, suppose you play The Nameless One when your opponent has Tirion Fording on the battlefield. Fording will lose its Divine Shield, Taunt, and Deathrattle effects when you select to copy it. Your Nameless One will become a 4/4 Fordring with its Divine Shield, Taunt, and Deathrattle, which gives you a 5/3 weapon to wield! So, this is a very potent card when utilized against the best minions in Hearthstone.
4. Northshire Cleric
Northshire Cleric is perhaps the best and most widely played one-mana Priest minion, which is now a Hall of Fame card. This common card has decent 1/3 attack and health stats for a one-mana drop. However, its card draw effect again is what really makes Cleric something special. Northshire Cleric enables you to draw a card whenever you heal a minion when it’s in play. A one-card draw for one mana is very good, and you can feasibly draw two or three cards with NC on the battlefield.
5. Brittlebone Destroyer
Brittlebone Destroyer, from the Scholomance Academy collection, is a rare breed of dual-class cards for Priest and Warlock decks. This card adds a four-mana minion with 3/3 stats to the board. Brittlebone includes a strong Battlecry that destroys a targeted minion so long as your hero’s health value has changed on the turn you play it. That’s a Battlecry effect you can usually easily active by replenishing your hero’s health with the Priest-class Lesser Heal Hero Power. Or you can utilize Lifesteal minions or spell cards to restore health before playing Brittlebone Destroyer. A 3/3 minion and hard removal effect from a four-mana card is great value.
6. Activate the Obelisk
This is the best Hero Power card Anduin has up his sleeve. Activate the Obelisk is a one-mana Quest card that upgrades your Hero Power to Obelisk’s Eye when you’ve restored 15 health (applies to hero and minions). Priest has plenty of healing spell and minion cards to fulfil that quest.
The two-mana Hero Power this Quest card gives you restores three health and enables you to buff selected minions’ attack and health by +3/+3. This Hero Power’s +3/+3 buff enables players to establish some very strong minions on the battlefield during the late game. It’s very tough to beat Priest control decks in the late game when they’ve activated Obelisk’s Eye.
Those are six of the best Priest cards in Hearthstone for Anduin Wyrnn and co to wield. Catrina Muerte, Dragonfire Potion, Duskbreaker, and Grave Rune are also good Priest cards that are worth noting.
