Tomb Raider’s Lara Croft Joins Dead by Daylight

Lara Croft joins horror game Dead by Daylight as its newest survivor. Starting from July 16th, Dead by Daylight players can play as Tomb Raider's Lara Croft. This new crossover joins the growing list of crossovers done by Dead by Daylight.

Tomb Raider’s Lara Croft Joins Dead by DaylightIn some exciting news, Dead by Daylight has just added Tomb Raider’s Lara Croft to the game. Lara Croft joins the hit horror game as the latest survivor players can pick. As described by Dead by Daylight’s official website, this will be one of the Tomb Raider protagonist’s “darkest adventures yet.” Since the news were first announced last month, DBD players have been waiting for the latest addition in the game’s growing list of crossovers. Now Lara Croft is stepping into the Fog on a new, more terrifying, adventure.

Unlike with Tomb Raider, this time Lara Croft has “no guns. No bow. No way home” in Dead by Daylight as described by the official Tomb Raider website. “In Lara’s case, it felt fitting to welcome a legendary character that epitomizes the spirit of survival instinct. Her own experiences have been riddled with brutal encounters, driving her to the brink and back,” the website also shared.

Lara Croft’s Perks in Dead by Daylight

As Lara Croft prepares to go through a new adventure, she comes with her own perks. As revealed in the official patch notes, Lara Croft’s perks as she joins Dead by Daylight are:

  • Finesse: This perk activates when players are healthy and it makes Lara Croft’s fast vaults faster by 20%. After players successfully perform a fast vault, the perk will go on a cooldown.
  • Hardened: The Hardened perk will activate after players open a chest or cleanse and bless a Totem. Then, instead of screaming, the killer’s aura would be revealed for 3/4/5 seconds.
  • Specialist: The specialist perk helps players gain 1 token (up to 3) whenever they open or rummage through a chest. Players can then consume a token when doing a Great Skill Check to reduce the maximum required generator progress.

Aside from Lara Croft joining DBD, the 8.1.0 patch brings along several updates to the game. Some of the updates are survivor perk updates, killer perk updates, and updates to The Singularity and The Knight. The new Dead by Daylight patch also includes map updates and bug fixes. The list of new additions to Dead by Daylight doesn’t stop here. It was hinted in DBD’s 8th anniversary live stream that a new chapter coming to the game this year will be based on Castlevania.
