Dead by Daylight: Forged in Fog Trophy & Achievement Guide

This guide will help you get every trophy and achievement in Dead by Daylight's Forged in Fog Chapter DLC. This list isn't as grindy and tedious as Resident Evil's Project W Chapter, so it won't be too complicated compared to previous DLCs.

Dead by Daylight Forged in Fog Trophy & Achievement Guide

Do you need help getting all those sweet trophies & achievements in Dead by Daylight’s newest DLC? As always, the multiplayer horror game has begun a brand new chapter including a new Killer and a new Survivor. Fear not, since I’ve played the game more than enough to let you know it’s not going to be a hard task. Below you will find my Dead by Daylight: Forged in Fog Trophy & Achievement Guide with a few helpful tips and strategies for each achievement.

Dead by Daylight: Forged in Fog Trophy & Achievement Guide – Overview

  • Difficulty: 3/10, but slightly skill-dependent.
  • Estimated Time to Complete: 10+ Hours. Highly skill-dependent.
  • Minimum Number of Playthroughs: 25+ matches.
  • Missable Trophies: None.
  • Difficulty Specific Trophies: The Adept Knight and Adept Vittorio achievements could be considered difficulty-specific.
  • Online Trophies: All of them.

The DLC trophies are very straightforward and unlike the previous Project W trophy list, it won’t be such a painful grind. Essentially, you just want to play as The Knight for several matches and get the Adept trophies out of the way. There is also one Survivor grind included in the trophies, but it’s so small compared to other grindy DLC achievements that you won’t have to play too many matches to be able to get it.

Cruelty Loves Company (Bronze Trophy/20G)

With The Knight, damage a Survivor while they are actively pursued by a Guard 50 times.

The Knight can use his power to summon guards that patrol specified areas and attack Survivors. You should check my Forged in Fog Character Guide before attempting this trophy, just so you know how the character works.

While the best overall strategy to down Survivors is letting your guards attack them before you do, you will want to do the complete opposite for this achievement. Whenever you manage to summon a guard and they start chasing a Survivor, attack the Survivor before they do (which will make the guard disappear, rendering that summon completely obsolete). However, this action will make progress for this trophy. Do this a total of 50 times and you will unlock this achievement.

The Knight has a few add-ons that can be unlocked in his bloodweb to make this grind a little bit easier. Here you have them listed:

  • Tattered Tabard: Slightly increases the guards’ patrol duration.
  • Map of the Realm: Slightly increases the guards’ vision range.
  • Gritty Lump: Slightly increases the guards’ movement speed while they’re on patrol.
  • Dried Horsemeat: Moderately increases the guards’ hunt duration.
  • Call to Arms: Moderately increases the patrol path length. Also moderately increases The Knight’s movement speed when drawing the patrol path.

You can also combine these add-ons with other Knight’s rarer add-ons if you find it convenient, but these are the most common ones that will be useful for this. You should also have a good Killer perk build if you want to have control of each trial while you’re trying to make progress for this trophy, so you can also read my Dead by Daylight’s Best Perks Guide if you want a few recommendations.

A Fast Death (Silver Trophy/40G)

Damage a Survivor with the Haste Status effect 8 times in public matches.

This trophy can be easily gotten without even trying. Several Survivors equip perks that increase their movement speed temporarily. You must simply manage to injure them while they have this increased speed boost. It is practically unmissable if you enjoy playing this game naturally.

However, The Knight is obviously a good choice to unlock this trophy quickly. Survivors gain the Haste Status Effect after picking up a guard’s standard. While using The Knight, you can simply summon guards as much as you can until any of them spot a Survivor. If a Survivor grabs the banner, that is the moment to injure them to make trophy progress.

In any case, the best possible Killer to do this task is The Clown. If you tap the active ability button while you’re using him, you will switch to the Afterpiece Antidote. These bottles do the opposite effect of The Clown’s Afterpiece Tonic, it will give you the Haste Status Effect if you enter the gas cloud after throwing a bottle. However, Survivors also do gain this small speed boost if they enter the Afterpiece Antidote cloud. This character’s alternate power is mostly useless by itself but it’s very handful for this trophy!

If you have The Clown unlocked, you can simply throw the Afterpiece Antidote bottles at Survivors and injure them as soon as you see them entering the gas cloud. Do this 8 times and the trophy will be yours.

If you don’t have The Clown unlocked, you can unlock it by spending 9000 Iridescent Shards, 500 Auric Cells, or by purchasing the Curtain Cull Chapter DLC in your corresponding digital store.

Adept Knight (Bronze Trophy/20G)

Achieve a merciless victory with The Knight using only his 3 unique perks in a public match.

Like every other Killer in the game, The Knight includes 3 new unique perks that are available to him by default. You can also unlock these perks for the rest of the Killers by reaching prestige 3 with this character.

For this trophy, however, you must finish a match with a merciless victory while you’re playing as The Knight and only having equipped his 3 unique perks: Nowhere to Hide, Hex: Face the Darkness, and Hubris. If you want to know how The Knight and each of these perks work, check my Dead by Daylight: Forged in Fog Character Guide to make your life easier for this trophy.

In any case, the first step to get this trophy is spending enough bloodpoints in The Knight’s bloodweb and reaching level 15 in it. This will allow you to equip at least 3 perks at the same time. Then, you must equip all 3 perks, join a match, and achieve a merciless victory. You can attempt this as many times as you want.

A good approach to get this achievement is attempting it on a low rank. If you’re on a high rank you should wait until the 13th of the next month, when everyone gets a rank reset.

These are the objectives you should accomplish on a trial to get a merciless victory:

  • Don’t let the Survivors power on too many generators. They should power 2 or 3 at most.
  • Try to hook each Survivor 3 times. Don’t camp the hooks.
  • Try to end the chases as fast as you can.
  • Don’t let anyone escape alive. Sacrifice them all.
  • Interrupt Survivors whenever they’re healing and try to down them instantly.
The Knight's perks allow him to locate Survivors easily and end chases more quickly.

Rebuilding the Borgo (Silver Trophy/20G)

In a public match, repair the generator in the main house and escape.

This chapter, like many others, includes a new map. This map is called The Shattered Square, which is part of The Decimated Borgo realm.

To get this trophy, you must power the generator that is located inside the main house of this map and then escape the match alive. The main house is the biggest and tallest one in the area. It’s also the only building on this map that has two floors, you can’t miss it. You will always find a generator on the second floor of this house.

This map can be randomly selected whenever you start a trial. But if you want to increase your odds of playing in this map, you should try to spend a few thousand bloodpoints on any Survivor’s bloodweb until you unlock a green offering called Beef Tallow Mixture. This offering highly increases your chances of playing on this map. Make sure to unlock this offering whenever you see it in your characters’ bloodwebs and make sure to grab it before The Entity does.

A good way of attempting this trophy is using the aforementioned offering whenever you’re playing in a group. You can also bring a green or even purple toolbox with the most powerful add-ons installed on it. Focus on powering that generator and escaping the match alive. The more people working on that generator, the faster you will manage to turn it on. You don’t necessarily need to be there during the whole repair. As long as you’re repairing it when the generator is finished, you’ll be good to go.

However you decide to approach this achievement, just make sure to prioritize the escape after turning on the generator. Don’t try to play hero if you’re going for this achievement or you might get sacrificed.

Lifting the Fog (Bronze Trophy/10G)

Reveal the Killer’s aura 50 times in public matches.

To get this achievement, you must equip a perk that allows you to read the Killer’s aura.

The Survivor added in this chapter (Vittorio Toscano) owns a good perk to obtain this trophy easily. Fogwise allows him to reveal the Killer’s aura by simply hitting great skill checks while repairing generators. Do this a total of 50 times and the trophy will be yours! This initially may sound like a lot but it’s not. You can easily hit 5 great skill checks per generator repaired if you pay attention while you’re doing so.

However, there are several other characters that own aura-reading perks that can also be very easy and simple to use (just in case you find it difficult to hit great skill checks with Vittorio’s Fogwise). Below you will find a list of Survivor perks that you can unlock and equip to help yourself make your life easier for this trophy:

  • Dark Sense (General Perk): Reveals the Killer’s aura for 10 seconds after repairing a generator.
  • Guardian (General Perk): Reveals the Killer’s aura for 8 seconds after unhooking a Survivor.
  • Kindred (General Perk): Reveals the Killer’s aura whenever they’re close to a hooked Survivor.
  • Alert (Feng Min): Reveals the Killer’s aura for 5 seconds after they destroy a pallet, breakable wall, or damage a generator.
  • Object of Obsession (Laurie Strode): Reveals the Killer’s aura whenever yours is revealed to them. If you’re the trial’s obsession, you and the Killer will see each other’s aura for 3 seconds every 30 seconds.

If you want to get this trophy as fast as possible, you can also equip several of the aforementioned perks at the same time and you should get it in just a couple of matches.

Adept Vittorio (Bronze Trophy/20G)

Escape with Vittorio Toscano using only his 3 unique perks in a public match.

Like every other Survivor in the game, Vittorio includes 3 new unique perks that are available to him by default. You can also unlock these perks for the rest of the Survivors by reaching prestige 3 with this character.

For this trophy, however, you need to escape a match while you’re playing as Vittorio and having only equipped his 3 unique perks: Potential Energy, Fogwise, and Quick Gambit. If you want to know how each of these perks work to make your life easier for this trophy, check out my Dead by Daylight: Forged in Fog Character Guide.

In any case, the first step to get this trophy is spending enough bloodpoints in Vittorio Toscano’s bloodweb and reaching level 15 in it. This will allow you to equip at least 3 perks at the same time. Then, you must equip all 3 perks, join a match, and escape alive by any means. You can attempt this as many times as you want.

A useful tip to escape the match alive no matter your current perks is bringing a green toolbox or med-kit. Focus on the objectives and forget about being altruistic as much as you can. The objective is to escape alive, so sadly you will have to abandon your teammates if the time comes. You can also attempt this trophy with a group of friends to make it even easier for you. This shouldn’t take more than 5 attempts.

Vittorio's perks allow him to have more control of the trial's objectives.

That was my Dead by Daylight: Forged in Fog Trophy & Achievement Guide. Hopefully you’ll find it useful enough to help you achieve those additional trophies. Forged in Fog is now available for PC on Steam and Epic Games Store, PS4 & PS5, Xbox One & Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. See you all in the fog when the next chapter releases!
