New Silent Hill DLC Announced For Dead By Daylight

Silent Hill fans can rejoice as, even though it's not quite a new game, they can experience some current generation content with the newly announced Dead By Daylight/Silent Hill collaboration. The DLC includes Pyramid Head and Cheryl Mason as a new killer and survivor respectively, as well as a new map.

New Silent Hill DLC Announced For Dead By Daylight

Developers of Dead by Daylight, Behaviour Interactive, have delighted Silent Hill fans by revealing a significant amount of DLC based on the long-dormant horror franchise. Pyramid Head (Silent Hill 2) and Cheryl Mason (Silent Hill 3) will be a new killer and survivor, respectively, and a new map based on Midwich Elementary School from the original Silent Hill. Both Pyramid Head and Cheryl will require you to purchase them, but the map will be free for all players, presumably as to not split up the fanbase.

If you’re already a fan of the game, you’ll know that this isn’t the first time Behaviour Interactive has worked with an existing franchise. More notable collaborations in the past have seen both Freddy Krueger and Leatherface added as killers.

This is only the second time Behaviour has worked with an existing video game license, with Bill from the Left 4 Dead franchise being added as a survivor back in 2017. What makes this more surprising is that Behaviour coaxed some Silent Hill DLC from Konami, as the company has been very reluctant to even release video games lately.

According to IGN, Behaviour Interactive have been working closely with Konami to make a faithful recreation of Silent Hill. It seems like a lot of effort has been made to make the DLC as authentic as possible, likely because of the cult following of the franchise.

Steam users can get an early glimpse of the DLC via the game’s public test build, but for everyone else, the Silent Hill DLC will be available for PC, PS4 and Xbox One on June 16th.
