Have you ever faced a Huntress or a Trickster in Dead by Daylight and thought: “I would have never been able to escape from this Killer”? Well, after many hours of gameplay and testing the best possible perks for these two characters (the only ranged Killers in the entire game), I can assure you you were probably right. But that’s because they were very likely to be running a very powerful build that completely increased their odds of getting 4 kills in a single match. That’s why today I’m bringing you what is in my opinion the most broken and strongest perk build in Dead by Daylight, which works particularly (and probably exclusively) well with The Huntress and The Trickster. Let’s get right into it.
Why is This Build Broken for The Huntress and The Trickster?
First off, I want to answer the most obvious question of this guide. Why is this build the most broken one in Dead by Daylight specifically for these two characters if there are so many great perks that are good with any character? Well, that’s because the combination of the perks I’m going to show you below is particularly deadly when you’re using it with ranged Killers. The Huntress can instantly damage Survivors with her hunting hatchets and The Trickster can progressively build up damage by rapidly throwing his knives.
Because of the fact that these Killers can injure Survivors from far distances, these are also the only Killers that I recommend you to avoid running slowdown perks with and rather use information-based perks. While I almost 100% of the time prefer to slow down the generators’ progress with my 4 available perks, the information of where Survivors are is very valuable if you can damage them as soon as you locate them, which is the case with the aforementioned Killers.
Without any further ado, let’s take a look at the perks in this build so you have a better understanding of the deadly combination these represent when using them with these characters.
Lethal Pursuer
Exclusive to The Nemesis until you reach Prestige 3 with it, Lethal Pursuer is just the tip of this build. It is not the most important perk of it but it definitely gives additional strength to it. Lethal Pursuer allows you to see the Survivor’s auras for 9 seconds at the beginning of the match. This is very good to have an aggressive start and not waste too much time looking for Survivors.
I usually prefer Corrupted Intervention when it comes to helpful perks for early match stages, but Lethal Pursuer also grants you a little bonus that’s going to be helpful for this build. This perk allows you to extend your other aura-reading abilities for 2 additional seconds, which is going to boost up the next perk of the build.
Barbecue & Chilli
Exclusive to The Cannibal until you reach Prestige 3 with him, BBQ & Chilli is one of the pillars of this build. BBQ & Chilli allows you to see the Auras of other Survivors for 5 seconds after hooking one (combined with the +2 seconds of Lethal Pursuer, BBQ & Chilli extends to a total of 7 seconds). This perk is essentially going to point at your next objective after you deal with the previous one. Once you hook a Survivor, you will have the ability to know where the rest are (if they’re far enough) and put some pressure on them.
You don’t necessarily need to stick to the specific target you saw during the activation of this perk, there’s no need to worry in case you lose sight of your victims. The next perks on the list are going to take care of that problem.
Iron Maiden
Exclusive to The Legion until you reach Prestige 3 with them, Iron Maiden is Plan B if you didn’t find any Survivor during the activation of BBQ & Chilli. You see, Survivors can easily counter the previous perk of this build by simply being close enough to you or hiding inside a closet. But the latest counter-play is going to be awful for them thanks to Iron Maiden. This perk makes Survivors scream whenever they get out of a closet and makes them suffer the exposed status effect for 15 seconds. This means that if anyone tried to hide from your BBQ & Chilli, they’re going to get a nasty surprise once they come out of their hideout. If you’re fast enough, you’ll be able to down them with one single strike thanks to that short but sweet exposed status effect.
Additionally, Iron Maiden allows you to open lockers 50% faster. This is a particularly powerful perk if you use it on your Huntress or Trickster build because in order to reload your hatchets and knives with these characters, you must constantly open lockers to do so. This means Iron Maiden is basically going to give you a 50% reload speed boost whenever you’re using it. And that’s not all. The fact that you’re going to be opening lockers much faster than you normally would also strengthen the power of the last perk on the list.
Ultimate Weapon
Exclusive to The Alien until you reach Prestige 3 with it, Ultimate Weapon is Plan C if you don’t manage to find any Survivors by using BBQ & Chilli or Iron Maiden. For 30 seconds after opening a locker, Ultimate Weapon makes Survivors inside your terror radius scream and reveal their locations for a brief moment. Once the 30 seconds pass, you must wait 30 more seconds before being able to activate the perk once again.
This perk is in my opinion one of the most broken ones of this build and I believe the Dead by Daylight developers may (or may not) be nerfing it anytime soon. But as it keeps being what it is, make use of it! This overpowered perk makes sure no one escapes from your sight and allows you to put even more pressure on Survivors just by searching lockers, which is something you need to do anyway because you need to reload your throwing weapons every now and then, so you don’t lose time for doing so!

Ultimate Weapon allows you to make Survivors inside your terror radius scream after opening a locker.
By combining these 4 perks that feed each other in a very nasty way, you’re going to be throwing hatchets and knives at Survivors like there’s no tomorrow. You’re always going to know where they are!
