We covered many armor mods for Skyrim on our site already, but lo and behold, there’s plenty more where that came from. In fact, widening our usual search scope to sites other than Nexus and Bethesda.net, we found dozens of amazing armors that put anything we previously showcased to shame. Most of these are for the PC version but some can also be found for the Xbox. Also a thing to note is that many of these can only be found on non-English web pages (virus free, I checked) so use the translate button to get around that.
So without further ado and in no particular order – here are the most beautiful, badass armor mods for all your dress-up needs, be you male or female.
Also, don’t forget about the power of ENB’s when it comes to making these armor mods look even better. You can check them and other mods out in our comprehensive top 10 list:
We are starting off relatively strong with the Tiamat armor. This one comes as a sort of Skyrimized remake of the Tiamat armor featured in the MMO game Aion. The standout feature definitely has to be the face mask that will make your character look like a badass ninja or a character plucked straight out of a Mortal Kombat game.
Gifts of Akatosh is a Skyrim mod that will net you an awesome piece of armor along with four new weapons. True to their name, both the armor pieces and weapons will make you look like a holy knight of sorts – out to spread the word of the dragon god. What’s more, the set is also as powerful as its name implies.
With Celebrimbors armory, you can truly become the forger of the One Ring from Lord of The Rings universe. To be more exact, his badass Shadow of War version. You get his bright armor piece, his hammer-ax and bow – and even his head as an equipable item if you want to go into full decaying spectral elf mode.
Moonlight Blade is a Chinese wuxia MMO game set in in a realm of martial arts and mystery. You can imagine that this kind of setting is ripe with awesome fantasy locations and armor so talented Team TAL ported some of these armor pieces over to Skyrim. As you can imagine, they are heavily eastern in appearance but high quality nonetheless. Oh, and most, if not all pieces are for female characters.
Continuing our trip down Middle-Earth lane, here we have an awesome looking Sauron armor ripped straight from Shadow of War. Not only does it look entirely badass, but it also fits surprisingly well with the Elder Scrolls universe and could easily be mistaken for some type of daedric armor.
Peacekeeper armor mod features a pair of incredibly detailed sets of armors for female characters. One armor is a plain metal one while the other one features intricate details throughout. Based on armors seen in Ubisoft’s For Honor but it is another incredible fit for the Elder Scrolls universe.
This mod, inspired by Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, features a couple of variants of greek-themed olympian armor sets for female characters. You can opt to cover yourself in more pieces, go full skimpy and even choose the helmet eye color. Know that, whichever one you choose, you’ll look absolutely godly and can easily roleplay that sort of character.
With things ramping with a couple of previous entries on this list, you’d be forgiven for thinking Leoni armor is too ordinary. But you’d be wrong. This female armor is absolutely gorgeous and filled to the brim with intricate details that you’ll never play from a first-person perspective ever again.
Guild Wars is an awesome MMO game that has never been about over the top armor pieces. With that in mind, this pack falls completely in line with what you’d call “lore-friendly” and wil enrich your game with awesome pieces for both male and female characters.
What else can I say? This mod features over 20 expertly ported armors from the beloved Dark Souls franchise. Everything from shiny knight ones to dark armor worn by many nightmarish enemies in those games. They all look absolutely awesome and most are a surprising fit for the world of Elder Scrolls.
Here’s a female armor fitting of a benevolent goddess or a tyrannical necromancer. Whichever one you decide to roleplay, the Syndra armor is a harmonious fusion of badass and sexy with the absolute standout being the shoulder pads and that helmet/crown.
When we laid eyes on the death spirit armor we were absolutely floored. And it’s easy to see why. Although the armor is fairly skimpy and falls more in the “clothing” category, it just so high quality and badass looking that we just couldn’t ignore it. That face mask especially is the stuff of sweet sweet nightmares.
Armors ported from TERA already featured on one of our armor mods lists. And the reasoning is simply that it’s an awesome collection featuring dozens of non-lore friendly armors. Not only do they look great, but all armors also come in both male and female variants. What’s more, Lady Hours pack even has dozens of equipable horns of the Tera castanic race.
If anything good came out of the train wreck that was Bless Online, it’s this port. A collection of a dozen high quality, awesome looking armor best suited for female characters. They are even not that revealing so it should satisfy those always prancing about how oversexualized female armors usually are.
No one can deny that Black Desert Online looks amazing. Not only in terms of pure graphical fidelity but also when it comes to the design of its many weapons and armors. The bad thing is most of the armors in that game are insanely overpriced and unless you are sitting on a mountain of cash – you’ll never be able to experience it all. Luckily, this Skyrim mod has got you covered. It features more than 20 of some of the best looking and badass armor pieces ever to grace Tamriel. Do check it out and thank me and the guys at Team TAL later.
