FaZe Clan has won the final and prestigous tournament of the second season of the Halo Championship Series. The roster consist of Bradley “Frosty” Bergstrom, Jonathan “Renegade” Willette, Mathew “Royal2” Fiorante, and Paul “SnakeBite” Duarte. The tournament started on October 13 and ended on the 15.
Three of the FaZe Clan members were two times Halo world champions before obtaining another world champion win in Halo Infinite. Only Willette is the one in the team that have one world champion title under his belt.
Getting the win for the team wasn’t an easy task. They were sent to the lower bracket by the Halo World Championship 2022 winning team: OpTic Gaming. OpTic beaten FaZe with a 3-2 victory, and OpTic would also beat Spacestation Gaming with another 3-2 victory to secure themselves as a top 2 finishing team.
FaZe managed to get their redemption against OpTic after winning against Sentinels and Spacestation Gaming with back-to-back 3-0 victories. During the Grand Finals, FaZe needed to win two best of seven series to secure themselves for the win.

The first series ended with a 4-2 victory for FaZe. OpTic got the better of them in the first two games, but they struggled to stop FaZe’s winning streak afterwards. During the grand finals reset, FaZe wins OpTic with a 4-0 victory.
One of the highlighted matches was a nail biting game of Team Slayer on Aquarius. The match took the whole 12 minutes and just when it seemed like OpTic had lost the match, they managed to tie up the game for overtime. Unfortunately, FaZe won the map with a 50-49 victory.
FaZe is also the only team in Halo Infinite’s history to win a LAN tournament while going through the lower bracket.
Outside of winning the Halo World Championship 2023, FaZe has won two offline events: Halo Championship Series 2023: Global Invitational – DreamHack and Halo Championship Series 2023: Arlington Major. These two offline events were back-to-back wins for the team and they have accumulated three LAN wins for this season.
On October 17, the fifth season of Halo Infinite content update will be live for fans to play. For those who are into the competitive side of Halo, the Battle Rifle will now be replaced with the Bandit EVO as the default starting weapon.
