In a PlayStation blog post from Naughty Dog Community Strategist, Arne Meyer, we’ve been treated to some lovely Last of Us Part ll announcements, including a hands-on demo being set up at PAX East 2020 from February 27th to March 1st along with news of a 12″ limited-edition Ellie statue and new concept art prints.
Of course, for those who don’t feel like travelling or spending extra money, the draw of any news release is that of some beautiful wallpapers and console themes that are absolutely free! Onto the wallpapers first, you’re free to download two, which each cover different sides of Ellie’s upcoming journey in The Last of Us Part ll. One being set during the daytime on her peaceful lonesome and another during the night as gruesome violence is inevitably about to kick off.
These wallpapers are all high-resolution and are available in various formats fit for whatever device you choose, be it your desktop background or phone lockscreen. Head over to the wallpapers section of the PlayStation to grab them both! The final and most beautiful touch is the merging of the two in the Dynamic Theme that is also now available for PS4 consoles, which transitions from day to night depending on the time set on your system’s clock.
Also available for free, you can download the theme from the PlayStation Store (US or UK) by redeeming the applicable code for your region, which is valid until the 11th of February 2021:
- Americas: 4FMP-BBNM-J5L3
- Europe/AU/NZ/Russia/Middle East/Africa/India: 9DEK-PKNG-N445
- Japan and Asia: No code, following with “Please check out each country’s official PlayStation social channel for more details”.
