Doom Eternal: New Stunning DLC Screenshots Revealed

The Official Doom Twitter account has revealed two new images from their upcoming DLC! The two screenshots exhibit some fairly varied areas, as the first of the two shows us an oil rig stationed in the ocean. Maybe we’ll get some meta-commentary on the dangers of fracking because demons running rampant is the last thing 2020 needs.

The second screenshot released seems to be Urdak, which is heaven in the Doom universe. This realm is the home to the Maykrs, and it will be interesting to see more of this in the DLC. It is really nice to see these two varied environments will be coming up in this add-on content. Unfortunately at this time, we do not have a release date for this DLC’s. Although Doom fans do have a free update coming for the month of May!

On top of various quality of life improvements coming to Doom Eternal this month, such as improvements to BATTLEMODE and the ability to finally dash in water, we are getting empowered demons. Empowered demons are enemies that have killed a player in another game, and are transferred to your world. That’s right, you get the chance to avenge a fellow Doom-slayer. This could bring a lot of interesting aspects to the community; imagine one Cyberdemon that runs rampant through hundreds of games! It is unknown if they exponentially gain power, but these updates will certainly add a lot to the Doom experience.

Don’t have Doom Eternal yet? Well, it is available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC
