Warzone is all about reflexes, loot, and team-based tactics. For high-kill games or fine-tuning your strategy, choosing a good drop zone is paramount. The best places to land in COD: Warzone are those with an ample amount of loot, decent cover, and a nearby helicopter or other vehicles to help with mobility.

Call of Duty: Warzone is the one game that is threatening to remove Fortnite from its throne at the top of the battle royale food chain. Numerous big name Twitch streamers are making Warzone their game of choice. From one of the most popular FPS game series of all time, Warzone is a game of reflexes, loot, and most of all, tactics. Part of those tactics is knowing the best drop zones in the game for both loot and mobility. The best places to land in COD: Warzone are those with an ample amount of chests, decent cover, and a nearby helicopter or other vehicles to help with mobility.

1. The Dam

The Dam is one of the best places to land for many reasons. Firstly, there are multiple buildings and two major areas you can choose from: the top of the dam or the bottom. The top has a fire hall with a large truck, multiple houses, and the entire bridge you can loot. Furthermore, landing at the top gives you optimum position to shoot down at any enemies below.

The bottom of the dam has the advantage of the helicopter. Some people land on the helicopter immediately and use it to scout the area. There is also more than enough loot for a full squad at the bottom of the dam.

The main reason I love the dam is that you have multiple plan-B options if you get beat to your desired drop zone. If you aim for the top but are too late, you can easily head to the bottom. If the bottom is taken, too, you can bail out to the nearby police station or another small cluster of houses due east of the dam.

2. Prison

Another popular drop zone is the prison. Just like the dam, the prison has more than enough loot for a full squad of four. It is one of the largest areas in the map with multiple entry points and towers to land on. Furthermore, if you get beat to the top of the prison, you can also land at the bottom, or bail out completely and head for the nearby port.

Watch out for helicopters on your way in to The Prison

There are two buy stations that spawn in the area, as well as a helicopter to help you get to the next zone.

3. Lumber

If you’re looking for a quiet drop, Lumber is one of the best places to land in Warzone. Lumber is on the edge of the map and is therefore remote and secluded. At the same time, there is a buy station that often spawns there and more than enough loot for a full squad. The only downside is that there is no helicopter nearby, so you have to rely on smaller ground vehicles for mobility.

4. Hospital

The hospital is a mildly hot drop right near the middle of the map for easy rotations to other areas. It is a good location to get looted up before pursuing a high-kill game.

If you land at the tallest building in the hospital area, you have the option to jump down and land on top of enemies in adjacent buildings. Furthermore, there is a helicopter on the roof of the hospital for easy mobility.

5. Storage Town

Depending on the flight path of the plane, Storage Town will often be a hot drop. There is ample loot in close quarters to encourage aggressive battles right from the get go. There are multiple buy stations that spawn in the area and it is easy to rotate towards the center of the map. If you are looking for high-kill games, land in Storage Town when it is directly on the flight path.

Those were just five of our favorite places to land in Call of Duty: Warzone. What do you think is the best drop zone in the game? Let us and our readers know in the comments below.
