On July 19, 2023 Nintendo released a new update for Xenoblade Chronicles 3, Version 2.1.0. This comes with the release of the long awaited set from Xenoblade Chronicles 2. The new update will allow players to scan the new amiibo in order to receive themed items based on Pyra and Mythra. The update also fixes some bugs for the Future Redeemed content from Expansion Pass Wave 4.
The added amiibo content can be accessed through the menu screen, selecting “System” then selecting “amiibo”. Scanning the Pyra amiibo will give players the Aegis Sword: Pyra. Scanning the Mythinga amiibo will give players the Aegis Sword: Mythra. Both items are purley cosmetic and are limited to the Swordfighter class.
Luckily for fans these items are not locked behind the amiibo. Players will find a new Nopon, Miibomii who will gift the Aegis Sword: Pyra and Aegis Sword: Mythra. Miiombii can be found in Llyn Nyddwr Camp in the Fornis region. Once players meet a certain requiremnt, they will be able to receive the times.
Along with the added amiibo support, there were also some bug fixes for the Future Redeemed content. The following issues have been fixed according to Nintendo’s patch notes:
- Increased the percentage chance to re-acquire Battle Manuals, Tactics Manuals, and Strategy Manuals.
- Fixed an issue where players were unable to re-attempt the final battle after experiencing a party wipe.
- Fixed an issue where some players were unable to complete the Chapter 2 quest, “Pursue Glimmer”, who’s thought to have headed north-west.
