Elden Ring, one of the best souls-like titles published by Bandai Namco, has made tons of die-hard fans since its release in 2022. Elden Ring lets players dive into the world of “The Lands Between,” where they are faced with tons of character-build options that entirely change the game’s playstyle. For those who prefer being a berserker that crushes their enemies with raw power and heavy blows, strength builds are the way to go. Today we will talk about the top 3 strength builds in Elden Ring.
Giant Crusher Build
The “Giant Crusher” might make your character look ridiculous, but it really makes the game one-sided in your favor. With this build, players can easily one or two-shot any normal enemies, making the game a whole lot easier.
In this strength build, players have to mainly prioritize three attributes:
- Vigor
- Endurance
- Strength
Players must focus on these attributes as they progress through the game, as these are the ones that will come in handy the most. Players should remember to keep their strength around 60 when they reach level 150 if they want to take full advantage of this build. Apart from these, a little faith is also required for the “Golden Vow” incantation to work.
Ash of War
One of the most important part of this build is equipping the “Royal Knight’s Resolve” Ash of War. Although this skill is not chargeable, this skill boosts the damage of the next landing swing by 80%, making the “Giant Crusher” a one-shot machine.
Incantations
For this build, we are going to be using three main incantations:
- Golden Vow
- Flame Grant Me Strength
- Blessing of Earth Tree
The “Golden Vow” boosts the build’s physical attack power and defense, whereas “Flame Grant Me Strength” increases the attack power further by another 20%. Last but not least, “Blessing of the Earth Tree” provides HP over time, making this incantation a necessary part of the build.
Equipment
Although any kind of equipment works on this build but the one piece that is truly ideal for the build to work flawlessly would be the “Raptor’s Black Feathers” armor piece. This armor piece strengthens jump attacks, thus making use of the Giant Crusher’s full one-shot potential. Apart from that, make sure to use the “Clawmark Seal” armament, as it boosts the used incantations.
Talismans
The following Talismans will be used for this build:
- Claw Talisman
- Green Turtle Talisman
The only two talismans necessary for this build to work flawlessly are the “Claw Talisman” and the “Green Turtle” Talisman. The Claw talisman is used for boosting jump attacks. This talisman will stack with “Raptor’s Black Feather’s” jump attack boost, providing a substantial jump attack boost. The most necessary talisman for this build will be the “Green Turtle” talisman, as it raises the stamina recovery speed. Stamina is the most necessary part for any strength build, as heavy weapons spend a lot of stamina, even with light attacks. Apart from that, I’d definitely suggest going with the “Dragoncrest Greatshield” talisman for a better survival rate.
Raging Wolf Build
As good as the “Raging Wolf” build looks, we can say that its performance keeps up or even does better than its looks. Compared to the “Giant Crusher,” this build is way more agile. This “Raging Wolf” build is for players who don’t want to sacrifice their looks while maintaining their one-shotting capabilities.
Players have to focus on the following four attributes as they level up:
- Vigor
- Endurance
- Strength
- Arcane
Remember to focus on these attributes, especially considering that strength must be above 30, around level 100 to wield the Colossal Greatsword, which is a necessary part of this build. Remember to focus on Arcane, as it will boost the speed of blood loss buildup in this build, which is a very important part of this build. Apart from focusing on these three main attributes, upgrade Faith over time, as it will help the incantations work properly.
Ash of War
The Ash of War used in this build will be the “Lion’s Claw.” This skill provides heavy affinity, thus increasing the strength scaling by a considerable amount.
Incantations
The incantations used in this build are similar to the ones in the Giant Crusher build:
- Golden Vow
- Flame Grant Me Strength
- Blessing Of Earth Tree
The “Golden Vow” boosts the build’s physical attack power and defense, whereas “Flame Grant Me Strength” increases the attack power further by another 20%. Last but not least, “Blessing of the Earth Tree” provides us HP over time, making this incantation a necessary part of the build.
Equipment
The weapon used on this build will be the Greatsword or better known as the “Guts Greatsword.” Apart from that, The set used will be the “Raging Wolf Set” combined with the “Clawmark Seal” armament.
Talismans
The following Talismans will be used for this build:
- Lord of Blood’s Exultation Talisman
- Shard Of Alexander Talisman
- Dragoncrest Greatshield Talisman
- Green Turtle Talisman
Since blood loss is a part of this build, the “Lord of Blood’s Exultation” is an irreplaceable talisman for this build. This talisman boosts attack power if there is blood loss in the vicinity. “Shard of Alexander” will be used to boost the attack power of the “Lion’s Claw” skill. Another important talisman to use here will be the “Dragoncrest Greatshield” which enormously boosts physical damage negation, making the survival chances way greater. This talisman is really important to use as most of the time players will be leaving themselves open to enemy attack while using the “Lion’s Claw” skill. Lastly, the “Green Turtle” talisman is used, which is the most vital talisman for any strength build as it improves stamina regeneration by a considerable amount.
Nightrider Glaive Build
The “Nightrider’s Glaive” build is an all-rounder strength build that pretty much has everything that a strength build has to offer. This build not only has an insane amount of damage but also offers a lot of range and a fair amount of agility.
The main attributes to focus on in this build would be:
- Vigor
- Strength
Vigor and Strength must be the primary attributes to focus on. Apart from that, endurance and faith should be attributes to focus on secondarily.
Ash of War
The Ash of War used for this build would be the “Braggart’s Roar.” This skill, paired with “Nightrider’s Glaive,” makes this build pretty much unstoppable. The only downside to “Braggart’s Roar” is that it is non-chargeable. Apart from that, this skill has multiple buffs that make it an essential part of this build. This Ash of War has the following effects:
- Damage Negation 10%
- Stamina Recovery Boost up to 20%
- 10% Physical Damage Boost
What makes this skill truly amazing is its ability to last for 60 seconds! Which is a ridiculous amount of time.
Incantations
For the incantations, the following will be used:
- Golden Vow
- Flame Grant Me Strength
- Earth’s Tree Blessing
The “Golden Vow” boosts the build’s physical attack power and defense, whereas “Flame Grant Me Strength” increases the attack power further by another 20%. Last but not least, “Blessing of the Earth Tree” provides us HP over time, making this incantation a necessary part of the build.
Equipment
I personally recommend using the “Mausoleum Knight” set on the “Nightrider Glaive” since it performs well and doesn’t even compromise the looks.
Talismans
The following Talismans will be used for this build:
- Spear Talisman
- Axe Talisman
- Roar Medallion
“Spear Talisman” really compliments this build as it boosts pierce damage. Since we have a weapon that mostly does pierce damage, this Talisman is a vital partner to the “Nightrider Glaive.” This talisman also boosts the counterattack damage. Secondly, the Talisman used is the “Axe Talisman,” which boosts charge and heavy attack damage by an enormous amount. Since players will be spamming charged and heavy attacks, this talisman will really come in handy. Lastly, players will be using the “Roar Medallion” to complete this build. This talisman, combined with the “Braggart’s Roar” Ash of War, boosts the attack damage significantly, making this build easily one of the best S-tier Elden Ring strength builds.
