Of course, it’s always good to have reliable players in the team who will certainly get the job done on the field, but it’s also good to have young prospects who will be future leaders of the club. From centre-backs to strikers, we’ve selected eleven of the best young players in FIFA 23 career mode who have up to 90 potential and don’t cost more than €15M. Note that each young player could get up to 99 potential because of the dynamic potential feature that was added into career mode since FIFA 20.

Giorgio Scalvini (€3.8m, CB)

Giorgio Scalvini is a young Italian prospect that plays as a centre-back. One of the cheapest defenders with high potential in game. Currently he is playing for Atalanta (Bergamo Calcio in FIFA 23) and Italy under 21 team. In game he has medium/medium work rate, is 194cm (6’4″) tall and only plays well in a centre-back position (CB). Some might say he deserves better passing and speed, which is probably true, but he certainly has plenty of room to improve.

He has medium/medium work rates, a lean body type and is 187cm (6’2″) tall.

Micky van de Ven is a Dutch center-back that plays for Wolfsburg in a German Bundesliga. A very strong and large defender who with these ratings has tremendous pace, an 88 sprint speed. With that, you already have a semi-complete defender that only needs a better defending stats. Other than that, he has a high/medium work rate, 3-star weak foot/skill moves as well as the high & average body type considering he is 193cm (6’3″) tall.

He plays best on the left wing, but he can also play on the right wing or even as a striker. Antonio’s got a 4-star weak foot & 4-star skill moves, with a medium/medium work rate. A player who has 88 potential and is worth only €3.3 million would be welcome in any team.

Moukoko is one of the most highly potential players in FIFA 23, and currently he only costs €4.7m with an upcoming 90 potential! Considering that at the age of 17 he already shows a lot in the Bundesliga and has already made his debut in the Champions League, he is a must have even for a big clubs with a big budget. In-game his pace is decent with a solid dribbling & finishing, other than that he has 4-star combo, and works with a medium/medium work rate.
