Starfield for PS5 Is Almost Finished

The Verge editor, Tom Warren, has confirmed that Starfield will definitely be coming to PlayStation 5. Additionally, he points out that the port would be almost finished. Rumors about Starfield‘s release on PS5 have been circulating since Microsoft began expanding its games to other platforms. Now, it seems that this possibility is more real than ever.

During the Xbox Two + 1 podcast, Warren mentioned that Bethesda has been working on the PS5 version for months. According to him, at one point the plan was for Starfield to be released on PS5 along with its first expansion, Shattered Space, although that idea was discarded.

If this is true, it wouldn’t be a surprise. For example, Forza Horizon 5 will be coming to PS5 very soon, but Warren assures that its launch was originally planned for last year.

Recently, a leaked image related to the mod The WIP – Ship Decals, part of Starfield‘s ‘Creations’ system, fueled further speculation. These mods include official and community-created content. Interestingly, its official listing showed compatibility with Xbox, PC, and a PS5 version.

This detail suggests that Bethesda might have already considered a version for the Sony console. Although everything points to an imminent arrival of Starfield on PS5, Microsoft and Bethesda have not yet made an official announcement. Until one of the companies confirms the news, we cannot take it for granted.
