The trailer was leaked at around 4pm BST on the Washington Post, which confirmed a Starfield release date of 11th November 2022. The two-minute teaser trailer was then the first announcement of the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase for E3. Available to watch below, this peek into Starfield makes the space adventure RPG look to be an epic like no other.
Following head of Bethesda, Todd Howard’s, introduction of the game – including it being a journey of hope and discovery – Xbox describes the game as follows:
Starfield is the first new universe in 25 years from Bethesda Game Studios, the award-winning creators of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and Fallout 4. In this next generation role-playing game set amongst the stars, create any character you want and explore with unparalleled freedom as you embark on an epic journey to answer humanity’s greatest mystery.
Following the Xbox-Bethesda acquisition, there was a lot of speculation as to whether Starfield would be on other platforms like PS5. Sadly for PlayStation fans, the game’s now been confirmed as an exclusive for Xbox Series X/S and PC. This upcoming space exploration marvel is even going to be available for Xbox Game Pass subscribers from day one!
Are you excited to play Starfield in just under a year and a half’s time? Let’s hope there’ll be no more delays!
