Starfield Release Date Confirmed in a New Trailer

Less than two hours before the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase was due to stream for E3, the Starfield release date shown in a new trailer was leaked online by The Washington Post. The same trailer soon aired on the showcase itself.

The trailer was leaked at around 4pm BST on the Washington Post, which confirmed a Starfield release date of 11th November 2022. The two-minute teaser trailer was then the first announcement of the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase for E3. Available to watch below, this peek into Starfield makes the space adventure RPG look to be an epic like no other. 

Following head of Bethesda, Todd Howard’s, introduction of the game – including it being a journey of hope and discovery – Xbox describes the game as follows:

Starfield is the first new universe in 25 years from Bethesda Game Studios, the award-winning creators of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and Fallout 4. In this next generation role-playing game set amongst the stars, create any character you want and explore with unparalleled freedom as you embark on an epic journey to answer humanity’s greatest mystery.

Following the Xbox-Bethesda acquisition, there was a lot of speculation as to whether Starfield would be on other platforms like PS5. Sadly for PlayStation fans, the game’s now been confirmed as an exclusive for Xbox Series X/S and PC. This upcoming space exploration marvel is even going to be available for Xbox Game Pass subscribers from day one!
