Starfield Will Have a Standalone Show

It might be upsetting for both Xbox and Bethesda fans to hear no news on Starfield for Xbox's upcoming January game showcase. However, Bethesda has posted a comment that Starfield will be a main focus for 2023's most anticipated video games to play.

On January 25, Xbox will be livestreaming a game showcase for their fans. They have already announced that Starfield will not be present at the show.

For those who are disappointed by not hearing any news of Bethesda’s newest intellectual property, don’t worry, there is some hope. Bethesda tweeted a post that Starfield will have a standalone show to share more details of the upcoming action role playing game.

Last year at the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase event, Starfield‘s gameplay was revealed to gamers and had a 15 minute video describing some of its core design

As of current times, the official gameplay reveal video has accumulated nearly 4 million views on Bethesda’s official YouTube channel.

Game director Todd Howards have described the game to be a “Skyrim in space.” Starfield is currently trying to set its release date in the first half of 2023.

The game was originally set to be released on November 11, 2022, but was delayed along with Redfall, which is another Bethesda published title. Redfall was already revealed to be one of the headliners for the show, but no other news have been reported if there will be additional Bethesda published titles.

The last major title from Bethesda Game Studios was Fallout 76. The game has sold around 1.4 million copies since 2018. However, Fallout 76 was met with much criticism during its inception.

Eurogamer considered the game to be “a bizarre, boring, broken mess.

Starfield will be a single player experience, and will not be including multiplayer. Howards have confirmed this direction due to learning experiences from Fallout 76 and Elder Scrolls Online.
