Immersion is a sign of quality in any video game and few do it better than Red Dead Redemption 2. The elements that create a sense of immersion are many & varied, but few are as important as the music that helps ground you in a certain place & time. Following the release of the Red Dead Redemption 2 original soundtrack, which featured 13 tracks from artists such as Willie Nelson & D’Angelo, Rockstar Games has revealed the release date of the game’s second album which will feature the original score.
This album will include 22 instrumental tracks from composer Woody Jackson. The reveal was posted on the Rockstar Games Twitter page.

The music of Red Dead Redemption 2 – original score will be available on all streaming services on August 9th. If you just can’t wait, pre-order the album on iTunes and receive access to three singles: “Outlaw from the West”, “Fleeting Joy” & “Country Pursuits”, before anyone else. In our review of Red Dead Redemption 2, we described the music as “absolutely perfect”, so, whether you’ve played the game or just want to feel like an outlaw on your daily commute, both albums are essential listening.
If you haven’t played Red Dead Redemption 2 yet, it’s currently available for PS4 & Xbox One. A PC version of the game is also rumored to be in the works.
