The folks at Rockstar Games, the acclaimed publisher/developer behind the titular upcoming open-world Western, are perfectionists. They are infamous for consistently delaying their games because of this and Red Dead Redemption 2 is no exception. It is now delayed until October 26th of this year as opposed to Spring.
There are a few silver linings to this faraway date. For one, the game will have a greater amount of polish and overall quality. Secondly, the release date is official and specific rather than the previous seasonal statements (Fall and Spring, respectively), making it unlikely to be delayed again. Lastly, Rockstar offered a healthy batch of in-game screenshots — 7, to be precise.
Within this update, Rockstar promises some exciting news to come:
We look forward to sharing a lot more information with you in the coming weeks.
Could this mean a new trailer or even a beta gracing us in 2-3 weeks? Only time will tell.
