In both RDR2‘s story mode and online mode, herbs are an item that can be collected by the player for crafting or consumption. Certain herbs such as Violet Snowdrops and Ram Heads are also required often for the daily online challenges. However, these plants can often be tricky to find as they spawn all over the map in certain remote locations, so finding them can be a bit of a challenge. But no need to worry, because we set out yesterday to answer the question of “Where can I find Violet Snowdrops?” Laid out in the guide below, you will find several locations where you can find Violet Snowdrops, as well as a general location where they tend to spawn in RDR2.
Furthermore, we also recommend checking out some of our other articles for more on Red Dead Redemption 2, especially the Killer Clues Location Guide as it will help you complete serial killer side mission in the game. Also, if you haven’t already bought the game, you can get it for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
Where to Find Violet Snowdrops In Online Mode
You can recognize RDR2 Violet Snowdrops by the short green stems and the violet bell shape flower peddles on top, as shown above. These flowers also prefer the cooler weather of the northern parts of Ambarino, so anywhere in the northern region of Ambarino would be a perfect place to look for them. Violet Snowdrops are also a key ingredient for Potent Herbivore Bait and Special Bitters, so it may be ideal to gather them beyond just for daily challenges.
Violet Snowdrop Location One: Fort Wallace
The area surrounding Fort Wallace is a great place to find these flowers. When we explored this area, we found several of these flowers growing around the words “Fort Wallace” on the map. We also found several growing in the fields next to the fort. So if you need these flowers, this would be a superb place to look for them.
This location especially is an excellent area to find Violet Snowdrops, as they often seem to grow in the field northeast of the “T” in “Fort Wallace” on the in-game map.
The field closer to the road heading to the fort is also a wonderful spot to find these elusive flowers. See the image above for the exact location where we found ours. But please note these flowers may not spawn in the exact spot as the ones we found, so you may have to still look around in these areas to find them.
As we previously stated, the area surrounding the words “Fort Wallace” on the map is also an excellent area to find Violet Snowdrops. As shown by the image above, underneath the second “L” in “Wallace” is a spot you could find three Violet Snowdrop flowers.
In the same area as the location above, you might find another flower on the right tip of the “W” in “Wallace”, as shown by the image above.
For the next Violet Snowdrop location, you will not have to go far at all. On the lower end of the letter “O” in “Fort Wallace” on the map is another spot where we found one of the flowers.
Violet Snowdrop Location Two: Doverhill Observatory
The next location where you might find Violet Snowdrop flowers is the area surrounding the Doverhill Observatory. This location can be found northwest of the mining town of Annesburg.
As shown by the image above, the area east of the Doverhill Observatory in general is a good location to find these flowers. Be sure to look around because you may find more than what we found in this guide.
Further east from the first location we listed at Doverhill you can find another Violet Snowdrop flower. But remember to look around, because it may not spawn in the same spot as ours did.
The last location we found one of these Violet Snowdrop flowers was right next to the road heading up to Doverhill Observatory.
That’s all the Violet Snowdrop flowers we found so far! Hopefully with this guide, you can easily complete this challenge with no problem.
