Final Fantasy XIV Releases Job Action TrailerAs Dawntrail’s release inches closer, we’re starting to see more and more tidbits of the new expansion. It’s exciting early access about a month away, and the release a bit further. Naoki Yoshida, Final Fantasy XIV’s director and producer, offered the players a sneak peek to see what to expect.

The Letter from the Producer Live LXXXI has shown many things about the new expansion. Initially, Yoshida and Global Community Producer Toshio “Foxclon” Murouchi went over the general job changes like the new level cap which would bring new actions. This includes going over the long awaited job action trailer and through the myriad of classes. The 20 minute video showcases each job. However, the new job Viper starts at about the 10 and a half minute mark with Pictomancer at the 18:40 timestamp.

Other Updates

As an added bonus, Yoshida and Murouchi decided to show FFXIV‘s new title screen. The beautiful city of Tullyollal can be seen in the background as the title of the expansion overlays it. Each expansion has always had an updated title screen, so it’s not surprising to older players. However, it’s always great to view the changes being made and how they’re doing it. One of these changes is also a huge upgrade to the fan favorite fantasia. Normally after using this magical potion, you’re able to change your character anyway you’d like. Before, if you wanted to change your Warrior of Light back, you’d have to buy another and start again.

With the new update, you’ll have an hour to go back into the character creator and change your character as many times as you’d like. Although the cooldown won’t reset after you go into the creator for a second time, the timer will run on in-game time. This means if you play for 30 minutes after you edit your character and log out to keep editing it, you’ll be able to play for 30 more minutes before your character is locked once more.
