Final Fantasy XIV Partners With Mountain Dew Gaming

Final Fantasy XIV has partnered with PepsiCo to bring us a new program with rewards. When you buy their Mountain Dew soft drink that has the gaming label on it, you’re able to redeem the codes underneath the caps to earn points towards various rewards. This program started May 16th and will end July 14th. However, be warned that if you’re not in the United States, these codes will not work. Much like the KFC event, even a valid code cannot be redeemed because they’re region locked. Until then, keep in mind that you can’t redeem the code for the in-game item until the 28th of June.

There’s a myriad of different reward options to choose from. You can see the various rewards on the Mountain Dew Gaming website. Each cap is worth 100 points, or if you buy the special flavors you’ll instead get 200 points. The biggest draw for most is the two in-game items that were mentioned during the live letter. The green Zu mount, aptly named Mountain Zu, and a sparkling citrus refreshment that can be used for a in-game XP boost. The Zu mount alone costs 600 points, meaning you’d need to buy at least 6 regular bottles of Mountain Dew or 3 of their special flavors.

Keep your calendars set for this crossover event!

While scalpers tend to hoard quite a few of these promotional items, if you’re looking to get your green mount it’s best to do it for a fair price. Of course, if you buy this electric green drink regularly, you might even be able to save up enough points for the highest point value item, the Elgato microphone that comes with a stream deck mk. 2. Whether it’s the pictomancer version which offers a lighter stream deck, or the viper version that is darker. Of course, there’s also many other rewards to choose from, such as hoodies, t-shirts, and keycap sets. This crossover will certainly have players grabbing bottles just for the codes.
