Spanning roughly 35 minutes in length, it’s approximately 15 minutes less time than the livestream featuring Terry Bogard last November. We may not be getting a history lesson this time around, perhaps because it’s a well-known character? There have been heavy rumors that Doomslayer could be a possibility ever since allegedly leaked screenshots hit the internet featuring a Mii fighter with Doom-inspired headwear. This will mark the first time that Nintendo has revealed a character via individual livestream, instead of with event pieces.
This new character will mark the fifth and final fighter in the original Fighters Pass pack that the company described back in late 2018. Since then, however, Nintendo has promised that even more DLC fighters are on the way, so who knows how many more may come? As historically guarded as they’ve been, it’s no doubt that whomever comes prepared, it will be a great shock.
