After the previous Queen’s Order Update, SHIFT UP has prepared a new flagship title update for Summer in Goddess of Victory: NIKKE, Bluewater Island, which introduces several new things. Following the announcement on their Twitter today, the developers revealed two new Nikkes, Mary and Neon, two existing characters that will receive a variant for this summer event, and other items such as the Bluewater Island Story Event, a 14-day Login Event, and the new Pepper Costume.
After several hours of maintenance, the Bluewater Island Summer update will commence on June 15, 2023. Goddess of Victory: NIKKE is available on Windows, Android, and iOS.
Meet Mary and Neon, the Bay Goddess and Blue Ocean
The star of this update is the new Nikkes, Mary, and Neon. Mary’s a Nikke that utilizes a Sniper Rifle, Summer Shot, to help her teammates. Meanwhile, Neon is a Nikke that uses a Machine Gun, Big Big Wave, which she can use to kill enemies. Note that these two characters are Limited-Time Characters, so they won’t be available outside of their respective banners.
Mary: Bay Goddess is a Supporter Nikke with excellent HP recovery and support skills. Her Burst Skill, Tranquil Waters, increases all allies’ survivability and strengthens Water code allies’ ATK. When at Full Burst, she can restore all allies’ HP within a certain amount of time, providing a huge boost to the team’s attack and defense.
As for Neon: Blue Ocean, she possesses a unique Burst Skill, Full Hydro Shot that allows her to continuously launch powerful, explosive bullets, attacking multiple enemies at a time. With her skills, she can also increase her code damage and deal additional damage to Fire code enemies. As such, she unleashes more power in the presence of Fire code enemy unit(s).

Other Updates in Bluewater Island Event
Other than the main stars, Mary and Neon, SHIFT UP will also bring many story events, a mini-event, and rewards for the players to enjoy. The Goddess of Victory: NIKKE‘s Summer update starts from June 15 to July 6, 2023.
Bluewater Island Event
There are significantly fewer Raptures in the water than on the surface on dry land. In light of this, the Sovereigns believed gathering resources would not pose much of an issue, so they formed a preliminary investigation team and sent them to specific coordinates by the coast. To their surprise, the location was a remote island that was only accessible via land a few times a year…
7 Nikkes and one man are trapped on the island. It was a frantic rush for them to complete their mission before attempting a last-minute escape. Little did they know that during their time in this remote location, they would be caught up in an all-consuming vortex of unexpected revelations.
During the event, which will run from the end of June 15, 2023 maintenance to 4:59:59 July 6, 2023 (UTC+9), players can join various activities and explore the exclusive event field for Bluewater Island. By participating, players can win rewards such as Gems, Advanced Recruit Vouchers, development materials, and surprising Lost Relics.

14-Day Login Event and Pepper Costume
For the Summer update, there will be a 14-Day Login Event, starting from June 15 to July 6, where you can get various rewards such as Recruit Vouchers and many development resources necessary for your Nikkes.
Lastly, Pepper will get a new summer-themed costume, Ocean Vitamin, which players can obtain from the BlueWater Pass, where you can purchase and level up the Pass through Daily Missions to obtain rewards such as Advanced Recruit Vouchers. To get Pepper’s special costume, players must reach the maximum level in the BlueWater Pass.
