The Summer Celebration in Goddess of Victory: NIKKE has reached its conclusion, where this year’s festive focuses on Sakura and Rosanna’s journey to the surface for a beach photoshoot. Now, the game is ready to welcome a new Nikke from the M.M.R. School, an Elysion facility dedicated to guiding juvenile Nikkes to ensure their survival during real missions in the Color Less update. For today’s guide, we will look closer into Zwei’s abilities and see how well she fares against the game’s tough content. Let’s begin.
After several hours of maintenance, the Color Less update commenced on August 8, 2024. Goddess of Victory: NIKKE is available on Windows, Android, and iOS.

Zwei Combat Overview
Let’s start the guide by looking at Zwei’s combat abilities to fight the Raptures. On paper, as a Shotgun Supporter Nikke, Zwei provides her allies with bonus Pierce Damage, which will certainly be welcomed by most Sniper DPS in Goddess of Victory: NIKKE.
Zwei’s main options for providing Pierce Damage buffs come from her Skill 1 and Burst Skill. Let’s start by talking about Pierce Equation, Zwei’s Skill 1. This Skill is practically straightforward, as Zwei will unleash this Skill whenever the team enters the Full Burst state, which prompts her to give the team bonus Pierce Damage, of which the first shot will get a bonus of 20.13% Pierce Damage, while the next shots for 10 seconds will get 10.06% Pierce Damage bonus.
Moving on with her Skill 2, Frame Analysis, gives Zwei two options for providing decent buffs for her teammates. The first one activates after Zwei lands five attacks, allowing her to restore the team’s Cover HP by up to 7.52% of her HP. And, just like Pierce Equation, Zwei can increase the whole team’s Critical Rate for 5 seconds whenever your team enters the Full Burst state.
Lastly, Zwei’s Burst Skill, Overcharge Formula, forces Zwei to change her main weapon to a one-time special weapon that deals with massive Pierce Damage. Additionally, Zwei can give bonus Pierce Damage to all allies for 10 seconds, further cementing herself as the resident Pierce buffer in Goddess of Victory: NIKKE.
Overall, while it may seem that she’s a super strong Pierce buffer, the extent of her capabilities stops there. While that certainly gives her an edge for a specific team for Union/Solo Raids, beyond that, there are simply too many other Nikkes that can perform admirably better than Zwei in general.
Strengths and Weaknesses
As with every Nikkes in Goddess of Victory: NIKKE, Zwei also has her strengths and weaknesses against different content types within the game, as we have curated in the next part of this guide:
| Strengths | Weaknesses |
|---|---|
| Zwei’s specialty of providing bonus Pierce Damage is certainly beneficial for powerhouses like Snow White or Maxwell. | Given the short time window for her Critical Rate buff, it is hard to keep the uptime enough for Snow White or other Sniper Rifle Nikkes to utilize Zwei’s buff fully. |
| Zwei can heal your team’s Cover HP, which will help with survivability against tough Stages or Bosses. | |
| Zwei’s whole kit is only useful for Pierce Damage-focused teams, meaning that beyond that niche team, you will never even consider Zwei to be your resident Burst 1 Nikke. | |
| Being an Elysion unit means that hypothetically, you can use her reliably on some stages within the Elysion Tribe Tower if you still don’t have a decent Burst 1 Nikke there. |
Skills Priority
Once you know Zwei’s Skills, it’s time to move on to her Skills Priority. As she is a Supporter Nikke, here is the hierarchy of what you should upgrade first (in descending order):
- Pierce Equation: The first Skill that you should focus on for Zwei is her Skill 1, as this is 50% of the source of her Pierce Damage buffs. If possible, upgrade Pierce Equation to at least Level 7.
- Overcharge Formula: The next Skill to prioritize is Zwei’s Burst Skill. This is the remaining 50% of the source of her Pierce Damage buff. In addition to that, she can also unleash a Pierce shot with the Burst Skill, so increasing the Level to Level 7 will improve both abilities tremendously.
- Frame Analysis: Zwei’s Skill 2 has minimal level scaling compared to the other two Skills, and the amount of Cover HP recovery and the time window of the Critical Rate buff is so small that warranting this Skill a Level beyond Level 4 is simply too wasteful.
Best Equipment Substats
Since Zwei is a Suppoter-Class Nikke, she can only use the corresponding equipment designated for that Class. Since she is not exactly a meta unit in the current Goddess of Victory: NIKKE, there is almost no reason to put any Elysion Overload Gears on her, unless you have spares that you don’t have any use for.
Therefore, if you have spare Elysion Gears and want to use them for Zwei, I suggest you look out for Increase Max Ammunition, Increase Elemental Damage, and Increase ATK sub-stats.
Best Harmony Cube to Use
Now that we know the best gear options for her, it’s time to take a closer look at what Harmony Cube suits Zwei the best. Generally speaking, she doesn’t require anything too specific regarding Harmony Cubes. However, if possible, you should equip the Resilience or Bastion Cube for Zwei.
In actuality, Zwei is an all-rounder Supporter Nikke, so she doesn’t need any Cubes to work well with others, but providing her with bonus Reloading Speed or more bullets to spend before having to reload is certainly helpful for Zwei as a Shotgunner.
Zwei’s Potential Team Compositions
As for her potential teammates, unfortunately, this is where she is a part of the weaker units in Goddess of Victory: NIKKE, because of her limited utilities that can only work well with Pierce Damage-focused teams.
For those reasons, we will only list one potential lineup for Zwei in this guide to ensure her abilities can effectively support the DPS Nikkes in Goddess of Victory: NIKKE.
Snow White and the Piercers
Zwei’s Pierce Damage buffs are mainly important for Sniper Nikkes such as Snow White and Maxwell, therefore, by utilizing Zwei’s buffs and her ability to recover the team’s Cover HP, fielding this team in a Union/Solo Raid situation will help you reduce the burden of having to find the perfect five compositions, because this specialized team should face no problem in that kind of situation, since the DPS comes from Snow White and Maxwell, while Zwei fulfills the role as the team’s main buffer. By following this, you can slot in two other Nikkes that can complement these units to enhance their Bossing capability further.
With those in mind, the full Snow White and the Piercers lineup has Zwei, Dolla/Helm: Aquamarine, Snow White, Maxwell, and Flex Burst 3 which you can fill with either Red Hood, Alice, Modernia, or other DPS Nikkes you prefer.
Zwei’s Overall Power Rank
Now that we’ve gone through Zwei’s Skills and her Team potential, it’s time to talk about her usability in every content within the game. In Goddess of Victory: NIKKE, there are many challenges that players must face, such as Interception, Arena, and Tribe Towers.
As I have mentioned earlier, Zwei limits herself to a Pierce-focused Team, meaning that trying to fit her in a regular meta team might not work as well compared to her optimal team, so you won’t see her near the top meta-defining compositions.
And so, to close off this Zwei Nikke guide, we will provide a table that includes her usability against all game contents, including Interception and PvP Arena, to provide insight into what types of content she’s strong in and which are the ones you should avoid using her.
Power Rank Table
| Type of Content |
Usability Rank (E – SS) |
Explanations |
|---|---|---|
| Campaign Stages (Early) | A | Since you will most likely use DPS Nikkes that can also utilize Pierce Damage like Red Hood and Alice, bringing Zwei into the fray will benefit your team, as their synergy is great, and survivability shouldn’t pose a problem at this stage. |
| Campaign Stages (Late) | C | Starting in Campaign Stages Chapter 20+, Zwei’s capabilities falter a lot because, unlike other meta Burst 1 Nikkes, she doesn’t have any ATK-focused buffs and cooldown reduction ability. When you reach this stage, it’s better to shelve her for Liter or Dorothy. |
| PvP Arena | C | Unfortunately for Zwei, she also doesn’t have a spot within the PvP Arena in general. While certainly useful for Red Hood or Alice-focused teams, they can fare better with other Supporter Nikkes that deal with their weaknesses, which Zwei cannot do. |
| Interception/Union Raid/Solo Raid | B | Zwei is an overall good upgrade for Miranda, whose usability is in her Critical Damage buffs, but falters if you can’t accurately use her abilities. |
| Tribe Tower | B | Elysion Tribe Tower still suffers from the lack of unit variety, unlike Tetra Tribe Tower, so having Zwei as an option, although not exactly a strong Nikke, can still prove to be beneficial for certain stages within the Elysion Tribe Tower. |
Should You Pull for Zwei?
Depending on your needs, or your priorities within Goddess of Victory: NIKKE, Zwei may end up in a less favorable position within the overall landscape of the game, due to the limiting nature of her abilities.
Moreover, when the next long-awaited collaboration with the Neon Genesis: Evangelion series is almost upon us, Zwei, being a very niche Supporter Nikke that she is, will not be able to compete with the new three Limited-Time SSR characters from the collaboration, as many players will want to collect all three before the event ends. I personally agree with the notion that you shouldn’t waste your precious Gems on Zwei right now, and save it for the collaboration, because she is easily available in the Regular Recruit Banner, while the Neon Genesis: Evangelion characters might no longer appear in the game after the collaboration ends.
Therefore, we place Zwei as a B-Tier Nikke for our final verdict.
