Ein Combat Overview

Let’s start the guide by looking at Ein’s combat abilities to fight the Raptures. On paper, as an Attacker Nikke, Ein’s arsenal heavily revolves around how she can dish out her damage output towards the enemies, and in this case, she brings additional firepower to the game in the form of True Damage.

Ein does so by unleashing Near Feathers, accessible at the start of the battle thanks to her Skill 1, Feather Standby. With this Skill, Ein immediately summons 4 Near Feathers to her side and each Near Feather will strike a random enemy that is currently present on the field, which only triggers with Ein’s Skill 2, as these Skills work in tandem to ensure that she can continuously deal True Damage against the Raptures.

Feather Shot, Ein’s Skill 2, is the primary source of her True Damage since Skill 1 only provides the necessary Near Feathers, but does not make them immediately target an enemy. Moreover, every time Ein attacks with Full Charge, Feather Shot will provide her next shot with 80% bonus Charge Damage, which is repeatable ad infinitum.

Lastly, to complete Ein’s arsenal, she gets a super-strong Burst Skill, Feather All-Range, which gives her multiple avenues of damage-dealing potential. The first effect gives her 6 Near Feathers that she can use to immediately cause havoc to the Raptures’ formation since it targets random enemies. Moreover, Ein also gains bonus True Damage and Charge Damage with Feather All-Range, meaning that her DPS capabilities just shot through the roof momentarily.

Overall, Ein provides a strong new Nikke option for the ever-expanding DPS characters’ catalog, and the way she works with most Supporter Nikkes means that you can practically slot her in any major meta-based team and still reap the highest benefits possible without sacrificing anything.

Strengths and Weaknesses

As with every Nikkes in Goddess of Victory: NIKKE, Ein also has her strengths and weaknesses against different content types within the game, as we have curated in the next part of this guide:

Strengths Weaknesses
Since Ein’s specialty is dealing True Damage against her enemies, she can easily shred most enemies, even the toughest Interception/Raid Bosses. Ein requires her Skills, particularly her Skill 1 and Burst Skill, which makes her a pretty demanding Skill-based character, therefore forcing you to upgrade her Skill Levels properly before seeing great results from Ein.
Ein, unlike several other Sniper Rifle Nikkes, is a relatively Auto-friendly unit, meaning that you can breeze through some Campaign Stages without having to lift a finger.
Her Burst Skill and Near Feathers target random enemies, so fighting against smaller Bosses in Campaign Stages will slightly diminish her DPS output since you can’t control which enemies you must focus on as Ein.
Ein’s True Damage doesn’t necessarily rely on the presence of the Raptures’ Cores, so her damage throughout the battle will stay consistent.

Skills Priority

Once you know Ein’s Skills, it’s time to move on to her Skills Priority. As she is an Attacker Nikke, here is the hierarchy of what you should upgrade first (in descending order):

  • Feather Shot: To utilize True Damage, Ein relies on her Near Feathers, and her Skill 2, Feather Shot, enables those Near Feathers to fly around the battlefield looking for an unfortunate Rapture. By upgrading this Skill, Ein’s Near Feathers can deal more True Damage, and on top of that, it also boosts her Charge Damage. Get this Skill to at least Level 7.
  • Feather All-Range: The next Skill to prioritize is Ein’s Burst Skill. Adding 6 Near Feathers, combined with increased True Damage and Charge Damage bonuses for 10 seconds should be enough to warrant this Skill to be upgraded at least to Level 7, and if possible, maximize it to Level 10.
  • Feather Standby: Ein’s Skill 1 takes the backseat here due to the overwhelming bonuses that her other Skills provide the more you upgrade them. It isn’t bad, as she can gain massive ATK increases with Feather Standby, and just like her Burst Skill and Skill 2, you should also try to increase Feather Standby’s Level to Level 7.

Best Equipment Substats

Since Ein is an Attacker-Class Nikke, she can only use the corresponding equipment designated for that Class. Since there is a potential for her to become one of the latest meta characters to grace Goddess of Victory: NIKKE, putting on some Overload Gears on her won’t hurt in the long run.

Therefore, if you have spare Elysion Gears and want to use them for Ein then I suggest you look out for Increase Max Ammunition, Increase Elemental Damage, and Increase ATK sub-stats to help Ein unleash her True Damage potential with the help of Near Feathers.

Best Harmony Cube to Use

Now that we know the best gear options for her, it’s time to take a closer look at what Harmony Cube suits Ein the best. Generally speaking, she doesn’t require anything too specific regarding Harmony Cubes. However, if possible, you should equip the Resilience Cube for Ein due to a major reason.

The foremost reason why this Harmony Cube works for Ein is because it increases Reload Speed, which is a much-needed bonus for Sniper Rifle Nikkes like Ein. Moreover, if you have a properly upgraded Resilience Cube, then that Reload Speed reduction can reach around 25%, which promptly reduces Ein’s reloading time from 2 seconds to 1.5 seconds.

Ein’s Potential Team Compositions

As for her potential teammates, Ein can work incredibly well with most Nikkes that are currently available in Goddess of Victory: NIKKE, since her True Damage potential means that she can work with True Damage buffers and regular Supporters like Liter and the Duo Bunny.

For those reasons, we will list two potential lineups for Ein in this guide to ensure her abilities can soar to new heights and potentially create a new meta-defining team in Goddess of Victory: NIKKE.

Duo Bunny + Ein

Even after more than one year since their first appearance, there hasn’t been a more successful and useful duo in the game, with only the Duo JK (Naga + Tia) closely trailing behind them. Since their Supporting capabilities are largely global and can serve Ein wonderfully, even though they don’t directly provide her with bonus True Damage, when going against Water Code Bosses, having Ein as your main DPS with the Duo Bunny behind her is surely to shake up the current meta of Goddess of Victory: NIKKE.

With those in mind, the full Duo Bunny + Ein lineup has Liter, Blanc, Noir, Ein, and Flex Burst 3, which you can fill with either Red Hood, Alice, Modernia, or other DPS Nikkes you prefer.

Sniper and Nukes

For PvP Arena, Ein can perfectly slot in as the main DPS of one of your team, since her True Damage capabilities often allow your team to outkill your opponent’s lineup before they get the chance to utilize their Skills.

For those reasons, this second team, which I dub Death Rain, consists of Ein, Blanc, Red Hood, Centi, and Jackal. This team’s hard hitters can effectively counter most teams that need to time their Burst Skills, which means that the Sniper and Nukes team can blitz through teams that are on the slower side. Moreover, if your opponents don’t have a Noah on their team, then Ein with her Near Feathers can effectively shut down your opponent’s weaker Nikkes.

Ein’s Overall Power Rank

Now that we’ve gone through Ein’s Skills and her Team potential, it’s time to talk about her usability in every content within the game. In Goddess of Victory: NIKKE, there are many challenges that players must face, such as Interception, Arena, and Tribe Towers.

As I have mentioned earlier, Ein’s potential is her Near Feathers, which in turn provide her with True Damage, and as an Auto-friendly Nikke, you can practically use her without even lifting a finger in most cases, except for Union/Solo Raids.

And so, to close off this Ein Nikke guide, we will provide a table that includes her usability against all game contents, including Interception and PvP Arena, to provide insight into what types of content she’s strong in and which are the ones you should avoid using her.

Power Rank Table

Type of Content

Usability Rank

(E – SS)

Explanations
Campaign Stages (Early) SS Ein will rip through the early Campaign Stages because her mob-clearing capacity is akin to that of Modernia’s, and Ein’s Skill 2 will practically wipe out most minor Raptures at any given time it is active.
Campaign Stages (Late) S Starting in Campaign Stages Chapter 20+, Ein’s True Damage suffers a small setback since it targets random enemies, and since the Raptures’ HP are massive, chances are she cannot kill them as effectively as before. However, since True Damage ignores enemies’ DEF, Ein is still a comfortable pick in Late Campaign Stages.
PvP Arena A Ein’s Near Feathers are also potent in PvP Arena, however, be mindful about Taunts, as she can easily distracted by those Nikkes, rendering her virtually useless momentarily. Avoid using her when fighting against Noise and other Nikkes that can use Taunt.
Interception/Union Raid/Solo Raid SS When it comes to fighting Bosses in Goddess of Victory: NIKKE, Ein is the queen against Water Code Rapture Bosses thanks to her nature as an Electric Code Nikke. Pair that with her Near Feathers’ DEF ignore, and you’d have one hell of a unit to field in Raids and Interceptions.
Tribe Tower S Elysion Tribe Tower still suffers from the lack of unit variety, unlike Tetra Tribe Tower, so having Ein as an option will majorly boost your capacity to climb up the Floors more easily.

Should You Pull for Ein?

Depending on your needs, or your priorities within Goddess of Victory: NIKKE, Ein can be your new best friend or only another DPS Nikke to add to your collection among other DPS such as Modernia, Red Hood, and others. However, Ein’s strengths come from her ability to dish out True Damage consistently throughout any battle, and with her compatibility with most Supporter Nikkes, her role in a team is almost unmatched, especially in Raids that require you to bring Electric Code Nikkes, as there is still no amazing DPS Nikke to fight Water Code Rapture Bosses beside Scarlet, so having Ein being the second choice is certainly beneficial for you in the long run.

However, since SHIFT UP has recently announced that there will be a new collaboration, which now is revealed to be a collaboration with Neon Genesis: Evangelion, fans might want to save their precious Gems for the Limited-Event Gacha Characters and shove Ein and Zwei under the rug since they are not Limited. Still, her capacity as a good DPS unit that can reliably be your main Burst 3 Nikke in any environment is a massive plus that many others don’t have, so pulling for Ein now will be a good investment.

Therefore, we place Ein as a S-Tier Nikke for our final verdict.
