Crimson Desert – Contradiction Answers
There are tons of faction quests, side quests, and other things to do in Crimson Desert. If you want to complete one of the more challenging of these, you will need to have either paid a lot of attention to the NPCs in the previous quest in the chain, or you will need some help figuring out the correct answers.
1. The Contradiction Quiz Quest Location
During the quest chain called The Weight of Knowledge in Hernand Commissions, you will need to have a chat with the Institute Steward inside the Scholastone Institute, and he will ask you a variety of questions that need to be answered correctly.

1.1 Contradiction Quest Information
The Institute Steward will ask you to question NPCs to see who stole a forbidden book. Once you have interviewed each one, you will need to return to the Steward and answer his questions correctly.

1.2 The Weight of Knowledge Quest Chain
There are three total quests in The Weight of Knowledge Quest Chain. Contradiction is the final step to complete it.

2. All Questions and Answers in Contradictions Quest
Each of the questions that the Institute Steward asks you in this quest has two answers. You will need to pick the correct one each time to move onto the next step.

2.1 Let’s start with the treasurer. What did he say?

2.2 What of Grunil?
- They were at the lab with Tarho all day, and reckon the guard’s the one acting suspicious.
- They spent the whole day with Tarho at the library, and they seem to be suspecting Tarho.

- They were buried in their research, and dropped by the library only to be told off by the librarian.

2.4 How about Almenso, the guard?
- Hard to say for certain, since not everyone goes to the library.

- They insist they couldn’t have stolen it – since they didn’t know about the forbidden books or the ancient language.

3. What to Do With Javier
After you have successfully answered all the questions, you will need to go find Javier again. He will be located in the Scholastone Archive. Once the cutscene has played out, choose to tie him up and turn him in to finish the quest.
