Crimson Desert Patch 1.03.00 Notes New Skills, Weapon Display, and Mounted Fast TravelPearl Abyss has released Patch 1.03.00 for Crimson Desert on April 11, 2026, now live on Steam (PC), PlayStation, Xbox, and Epic Games Store, with Steam (Mac) and Mac App Store still in progress. This patch brings new skills for all three playable characters, a Weapon Display option, font size accessibility settings, and one of the most impactful fast travel changes yet: the ability to teleport via Abyss Nexus while mounted, falling, swimming, or climbing walls.

1. New Skills for Kliff, Damiane, and Oongka

All three playable characters receive meaningful combat additions in this patch, making open-world traversal and combat more versatile across the full roster. This is one of the first patches to address Damiane and Oongka’s kit depth in a substantial way.

Kliff’s New Ability: Focused Aerial Roll

Kliff gains a new movement and combat tool called Focused Aerial Roll. To unlock it, players need Focus Lv. 3, Flight Lv. 2, and Aerial Roll already learned. Once the prerequisites are met, the skill is activated by using Focus during flight and then pressing the dodge key, adding a new layer of aerial combat fluidity.

Damiane and Oongka Expanded Kits

Damiane and Oongka have both received a notable expansion to their open-world ability sets:

  • Axiom Force, Nature’s Snare, and related abilities are added for both characters
  • Damiane’s Shield Toss and Oongka’s Scatter Shot now share the same effect as Kliff’s Force Palm, giving both characters access to that mechanic’s utility
  • Control inputs for Damiane’s Skystep and Oongka’s Vertical Flight have been adjusted

2. Fast Travel and Combat Improvements

The Abyss Nexus fast travel system has received one of its biggest usability upgrades since launch. Players can now initiate teleportation from a much wider range of states, removing one of the more frustrating interruptions to exploration flow.

Teleportation While Mounted, Falling, Swimming, or Climbing

Previously, fast travel required players to be standing still and on foot. Patch 1.03.00 changes that significantly. Abyss Nexus teleportation now works while the player is mounted, falling, swimming, or climbing walls.

Pearl Abyss notes that further improvements are planned to extend this to additional mounted states in the near future.

Lock-On and Combat Fixes

The lock-on system during boss fights has been refined on two fronts: hard lock-on now holds from greater distances, and the lock-on mechanic no longer applies to certain larger bosses where it created targeting issues. Several combat bugs have also been resolved:

  • Fixed follow-up attack combos resuming too slowly after a blocked attack
  • Fixed Blinding Flash deactivating while moving on a mount
  • Fixed characters occasionally reaching abnormal speeds during certain chained combos
  • Fixed Nature’s Snare triggering unintentionally during Focus on the controller

3. Weapon Display, Font Size, and Accessibility Options

This patch expands Crimson Desert‘s settings with several options commonly requested, particularly for cosmetic control and readability.

Weapon Display Option

The new Weapon Display setting, found under Others > Language & Gameplay, gives players control over how weapons appear on the character outside of combat. Two categories are available:

  • Display Melee Weapons: All / Selected Only
  • Display Ranged Weapons: Always / Only When Used

Pearl Abyss also confirmed that the previously announced option to hide weapons shown on the character’s back is addressed through this system.

Accessibility and Camera Settings

A Minimum Font Size option has been added under Others > Accessibility, taking effect after restarting the game. The Fast Forward Speed for dialogue can now be adjusted up to 4x under Others > Language & Gameplay. Additional camera options have also been added under the Accessibility menu:

  • Camera Visual Range
  • Camera Vertical Offset
  • Camera Horizontal Offset
  • Camera Auto-follow
  • Camera Lookahead
