Stardew Valley 1.6 Update Is Coming to Console and Mobile in NovemberAfter what felt like a long wait, Stardew Valley 1.6 update will arrive to console and mobile. The long-awaited news was announced by Stardew Valley’s developer, ConcernedApe (Eric Barone), through X. In a tweet, ConcernedApe shared the exact date for when Stardew Valley’s 1.6 update will be available on other platforms. On November 4 this year, players using the mentioned platforms will get the chance to finally experience the latest update released for the game. This means that Stardew Valley’s 1.6 update will be available for all mobile and console versions, including the Nintendo Switch version.

The news comes after several months of waiting since the 1.6 update was released for the PC version in March. Now, along with Nintendo Switch, the other platforms that will receive the new update include Android, iOS, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X. Some pointed out the long wait time between the release for Stardew Valley’s 1.6 update on PC versus on other platforms. Barone, however, clarified on X that he “never intended for the delay to be this long.”

What Console and Mobile Players Should Expect From Stardew Valley 1.6 Update

With Stardew Valley 1.6 update coming to new platforms, players have a lot to catch up on. There is the question of whether console and mobile players should start a new game to enjoy the update. Barone had an answer to this on X as he replied to some players’ questions in the announcement tweet.

You can still experience almost everything new with your existing save, but if you have any interest in starting a new farm it would be ideal to start fresh. Some of the new things, for example, are different in year 1 than in year 2+. Besides, it’s fun to start a new farm right?

Players will find in Stardew Valley’s 1.6 update new festivals and events for them to enjoy. The update also includes several bug fixes, new areas to explore, and new dialogues. Next month, mobile and console players will be able to try all the additions in Stardew Valley 1.6 update. Since its release, this update has proven that Stardew Valley will remain one of the best cozy games.
