A leak, by way of the Daily Gaming Report, suggests that Marvel’s Spider-man 2 will release in 2021, with a reveal coming later this year.
We’re only half-way through the first month of the year, but delays and leaks have dominated the news. One such leak is getting Superhero fans hot under the collar. According to this leak, a sequel to 2018s Marvel’s Spider-Man may drop as early as 2021 for the PS5.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Will Have An Impressive Rogue’s Gallery!
The leak details the map size, which has increased to encompass the boroughs of Brooklyn and Queens, the birthplaces of Peter Parker and Miles Morales, as well as Manhattan. Story info is thin on the ground but will take place during the winter, involve Oscorp and may hint at a wider Marvel gaming universe. The sequel will also feature a dazzling rogue’s gallery, including Green Goblin, Venom, Carnage and Mysterio, among others
On the gameplay front, the randomised crime system from the original will receive a makeover; the leak describes it as being similar to Diablo’s dungeon mechanics. Depending on the situation, different crimes may take place, allowing you to choose whether to tackle the job head-on or stealthy. More importantly, we’ll get to play as Miles Morales, as he developed his powers and fighting style, which will differ from that of Peter Parker. If there’s any truth to this leak, Insomniac is upping the ante in the superhero genre. It’s fair to say that I’m sold on this concept, if real. Have you played Marvel’s Spider-man? We loved it and you can read our review to find out why.
If this leak has you itching to play the original, you can play it exclusively on the PS4.
