Rapier of Devastation windroseThe Rapier of Devastation is one of the strongest Precision weapons in Windrose, especially once you reach the Cursed Swamps and start farming Crypts and ruins. Unlike the Rapier of a Thousand Cuts, this is not an early buried treasure weapon.

Its value comes from stacking Plague marks with light attacks, then consuming those marks with heavy attacks for bonus damage and healing.

The Rapier of Devastation is an Epic Precision rapier with 210 Pierce Damage. Its main strength is the Plague mark system. Light attacks apply up to 8 Plague marks, while heavy attacks consume all accumulated marks and deal bonus damage for each mark consumed.

If a heavy attack consumes more than 5 marks, it restores 40% of your Maximum Health.

The Rapier of Devastation is a late-game Precision rapier found from high-level chest loot in the Cursed Swamp. The best places to farm it are Crypts, Tainted Ruins, and Ruin with a Flowerbed locations, especially the Old Skeleton Chests inside those points of interest. 

Best Places to Farm Rapier of Devastation

The Rapier of Devastation does not come from one guaranteed chest, so the best approach is to repeat the Cursed Swamp points of interest that can roll it from their Old Skeleton Chests. Focus on Crypts and ruin-style locations first, then reset your route and keep farming the same chest pool until the weapon drops.

  • Cursed Swamp – Crypts: Clear the Crypt, search the full interior, and open the Old Skeleton Chest inside. Crypts are one of the main places to farm the Rapier of Devastation because they are higher-level dungeon-style locations in the Cursed Swamp.
  • Cursed Swamp – Tainted Ruins: Search Tainted Ruins whenever you find them in the region. These ruins are part of the same stronger loot pool and are one of the better places to check for late-game weapons.
  • Cursed Swamp – Ruin with a Flowerbed: Look for the ruin point of interest with the flowerbed and open the Old Skeleton Chest there. 
  • Old Skeleton Chests: Prioritize these chests whenever they appear in Crypts, Tainted Ruins, or Ruin with a Flowerbed locations. These are the key containers tied to the Rapier of Devastation drop.

3. How To Craft Rapier of Devastation

Once the weapon is unlocked, you can craft additional copies at the Weaponsmith Workshop. The table below lists the station and material costs.

4. How To Upgrade Rapier of Devastation

The Rapier of Devastation is upgraded at the Weaponsmith Workshop. Open the station, go to the Upgrade tab, select the weapon, and confirm the upgrade if you have the required materials. Weapon upgrades increase the weapon’s stats and keep it relevant as enemies become stronger.

5. How To Ascend Rapier of Devastation

The Rapier of Devastation becomes much stronger once you ascend it from Rare to Epic. Normal upgrades only raise the weapon level, but ascension improves its rarity and unlocks the full version of the weapon’s effect.

  1. Get a Rare Rapier of Devastation first.
  2. Collect 7 Tumbaga Ingots for the ascension cost.
  3. Go to a Weaponsmith Workshop Level 1 or higher.
  4. Open the ascension option at the workshop.
  5. Select Rapier of Devastation from your weapon list.
  6. Use 1 Rapier of Devastation and 7 Tumbaga Ingots to ascend it from Rare to Epic.
  7. Equip the Epic version and use light attacks to build Plague marks, then heavy attack after more than 5 marks to trigger the healing effect.
