Windrose hides a lot of progression behind its discovery system, and that is why these region lists matter more than they first seem. The first time you pick up certain materials, enemy drops, crops, or crafted items, you unlock new recipes, stations, and crafting lines, so missing one discovery can quietly slow down your whole build path.
The three current progression regions are Coastal Jungle, Foothills, and Cursed Swamp. Coastal Jungle handles your early tools and survival basics, Foothills opens more serious crafting and farming, and Cursed Swamp pushes you into late-game materials and higher-tier progression.
1. Coastal Jungle Discoveries List
The Coastal Jungle is your first real discovery region, and it is where most players begin unlocking the systems that carry the rest of the game. This biome covers basic mining, early farming, first consumables, and several starter crafted unlocks. A few discoveries here are not raw gathered materials, but crafted or processed items.
Coastal Jungle Key Discoveries
These are the discoveries that matter most early because they unlock the core progression path for tools, crafting, and movement around the biome.

| Rough Hide | Boars and Sows |
| Misty Orchid | Blue jungle flowers |
Coastal Jungle Major Discoveries
The major discoveries in this biome expand your farming, survival, and utility options. Most of them come from normal exploration, but a few are easier to find if you check ruins, pirate camps, and the coast.

2. Foothills Discoveries
The Foothills push you into stronger crafting and a more useful farming loop. This biome has fewer discoveries than Coastal Jungle, but several of them are much more important because they open iron progression, better wood and bark, and more useful food and loot materials.

3. Cursed Swamps Discoveries

4. Tips to Farm Discovery Items
These tips show efficient ways to clear discoveries per biome and how to combine routes. Use them as a checklist while planning short farming runs.
- Clear each biome by category, not randomly. Grab the Key Discoveries first in every region, since those are the ones that unlock the most important crafting progression.
- Farm clustered routes instead of single items. In the Foothills, loop Divi-Divi trees, Flax clusters, and nearby ore spots together so you collect Hardwood, Tree Bark, Flax Fiber, and Iron Ore in one run.
- Use ruins first in the Cursed Swamps. Ancient Ruins are the best early stop there because Ancient Scraps unlock major stations, and the same routes can also give ruin-container drops like Mysterious Spice.
- Farm enemy drops in pairs. When you need crocodile materials, stay on Crocodile and Plague Crocodile routes so you can stack multiple discoveries like Hide Piece, Tail, Tainted Bile, and possible rare drops in the same grind.
- Do night loops when a biome supports them. In the Cursed Swamps, farm Cocoplum in the day and return at night for Fireflies, since they appear near the same bushes and save you a separate trip.
