The developers has announced the open beta for Multiversus just a few months ago, and even without a concrete release date as of now, fans are hyped up to try out this upcoming platform fighter from one of the world's largest media company, Warner Bros.

Multiversus Open Beta Launches this JulyWarner Bros’ long-awaited platform fighter, Multiversus plans to unveil their public open beta this month. With their closed beta garnering praise all over the internet just a month ago, things are looking especially good for this upcoming competitor for the currently largest platform fighter, Smash Bros.

Multiversus has been in the works for a while now and captured the internet’s attention during its announcement. Being that the characters were from Warner Bros, there was huge potential in what the roster could be, and the closed beta did not disappoint. The beta already had a colorful cast of iconic characters from multiple properties, with each of them having their characteristics translated into their move set flawlessly.

This, along with the company embracing the “Ultra Instinct Shaggy” gave them quite the notoriety not only in the gaming community but in memes as well. That further increased the hype, especially with people finding out new things about the game from the multiple videos and impressions posted on Youtube.

However, the closed beta ended as quickly as it began and it left players wanting more and future players, excited to get their hands on the game. Not to mention the fact that it’s a free-to-play title which may have it’s ups and downs, but that ensures a huge possible playerbase because of its easy accessibility.

It is also confirmed that progress from the open beta will carry over to it’s final release, which is good as players can get their roster going and save up coins in order to buy possible future characters that might get added to the full release. There hasn’t been solid word as of now that the open beta will have new characters, though the current characters in the sizable roster already have most satisfied for now.

This isn’t the first time a media company has made a platform fighter, as Nickelodeon released their own Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl just last year, though from the looks of things the community for that is going a bit silent right now. Here’s hoping that Multiversus does well for itself, and if you’re planning on joining in on the open beta; you can sign up on their official site.
