Sea Of Thieves Is Coming To Steam On June 3rd

After releasing on Xbox One, Windows PC, and Xbox Game Pass, Rare’s pirate adventure Sea of Thieves is coming to Steam on June 3rd, 2020.

As announced by Microsoft, the Steam version will cost $39.99. It will have all of the game’s DLC content including The Hungering Deep, the Anniversary Update, and April’s Ships of Fortune. It is important to note that if you purchase the Steam version, you’ll also have to link your Xbox Live account or create a new Xbox Live account. Furthermore, the game will include optional cross-play between all available platforms. For any other questions regarding this Steam port, you can head over to the Steam FAQ for the game.

Sea of Thieves originally launched in March 2018 to a mixed reception. Many players thought Rare crafted a beautiful world, but there wasn’t much to do inside it other than repetitive missions. Rare took those criticisms and went on to add a ton of free DLC like The Arena, Skeleton Ships, and Fishing. They’ve also added other customizable content such as adding 100 new emotes and more ship customization. It looks like all that hard work paid off for Rare. Earlier this year, Microsoft announced that Sea of Thieves had surpassed 10 million players since its launch.
