Players who previous played the original Mass Effect 2 and Mass Effect 3 can continue their progress in the Legendary Edition.
Previously reported at Gamespot, it shows how old saves from the last two titles can be imported in the remastered version. Seemingly enough, it can be as straightforward as copying contents from within “Documents>Bioware>Mass Effect 2 or 3” into the corresponding Legendary Edition folder.
When done properly, the method will give users the chance to continue their adventure wherever they left off initially. The idea can be a boon for those who’ve recently just started fresh in their journey. Or even to those who simply loved the idea of indulging in the new experience with a leg up.
However, it is worth noting that the procedure is strictly limited to the latter two installments in the trilogy. Meaning that doing the same method with the first Mass Effect title will not yield a positive result. Which, as it appears, is an impossibility due to the level of disparity in content between the archetype and the remastered versions.
