Want to know what FPS and resolution the upcoming Mass Effect remastered trilogy will run at on your console? Now, you can find out the newly released Mass Effect Legendary Edition performance details for all systems the trilogy is being released on.

EA Releases Mass Effect Legendary Edition Performance DetailsBioware and EA are really building up the hype towards Mass Effect Legendary Edition‘s release later this month. Earlier today, Bioware streamed the trilogy’s entire soundtrack live. Now, EA has released a full breakdown of how the games will run across various systems. Let’s take a look at these Mass Effect Legendary Edition performance details.

Mass Effect Legendary Edition Performance on Consoles

Console players can choose between two modes that will favour quality or framerate. How achievable its max resolution and fps is depended on the power of the machine the games are being played on. Mass Effect Legendary Edition’s performance details for each console on both modes are as follows:

Mode PlayStation 4 PlayStation 4 Pro PlayStation 5 Xbox One Xbox One X/Series S Xbox Series X
Favour Quality Up to 30fps @ 1080p Up to 30fps @ 4K UHD Up to 60fps @ 4k UHD Up to 30fps @ 1080p Up to 30fps @ 4K UHD Up to 60fps @ 4k UHD
Favour Framerate Up to 60fps @ 1080p Up to 60fps @ 1440p Up to 60fps @ 1440p Up to 60fps @ 1080p Up to 60fps @ 1440p Up to 120fps @ 1440p

Unsurprisingly, the Xbox Series X is the console that offers the best Mass Effect Legendary Edition performance. That 8-core CPU and 12TLOP GPU are certainly being put to work, delivering up to a whopping 120fps whilst still displaying at 1440p resolution. Nevertheless, up to 60fps being available on every other console, the trilogy is releasing on – even the original PS4 – is a nice reveal. Still, EA has been sure to reiterate that the more powerful the hardware, the more likely you’ll achieve the max fps and resolution. So, for example, if you have both a PS4 Pro and PS5 in different rooms, it remains far more ideal for you to play Mass Effect Legendary Edition on the newest console.

Performance on PC

For PC players, on the other hand, EA has kept it simple. Depending on your setup, Windows players can enjoy up to 240fps, and refresh rates up to 240Hz will be supported. Any tweaks towards balancing graphics and performance can be made via several adjustable graphics options that will be available. On the Steam pre-order page, though, these are the specs recommended for the games to run smoothly on PC:

OS 64-bit Windows 10

Intel Core i7-7700 or AMD Ryzen 7 3700X
Memory 16GB RAM
Graphics GPU: NVIDIA GTX 1070 / RTX 200, Radeon Vega 56, GPU RAM: 4 GB Video Memory
DirectX Version 11
Storage  120GB available space

Mass Effect Legendary Edition is out on the 14th of May. One of the segments I’m really excited about replaying is in Mass Effect 2 with crew member Mordin Solus. In this particular scene, you can have the galaxy’s favourite Salarian scientist sing you the magical song, you guessed it, “Scientist Salarian”. Be sure to check out how to get Mordin to sing for you
