Bethesda Break Silence on Fallout 76
Bethesda Game Studios have finally broken their silence and made an apology to the Fallout 76 community over the current state of their new title.

The launch of Fallout 76 has been nothing short of total chaos. Starting with the pre-scheduled beta slots for players who pre-ordered the title, then the full release coming in a matter of weeks after this test period ended. Since the beta, the game has been heavily littered with a variety of glitches and bugs, ruining the experience for many players.

The developers then offered a knocked down Black Friday discount so shortly after the full launch of Fallout 76. To make matters worse, Bethesda are being investigated by a law firm regading deceptive trade practices related to Fallout 76. It's been reported that the company refused to refund PC players who found the game to be unplayble. The post-apocalpytic online RPG has received a staggering amount of backlash from not only the Fallout community, but the entire gaming community.

Bethesda posted to Reddit on Thursday to acknowledge the frustration of fans. They also highlighted the fault in their lack of communication with players over the major issues in Fallout 76. The company issued an apology for doing so.

Bethesda Game Studios Reddit post:

''We know you’re frustrated and angry at the state of things right now, whether it’s the issues you’re running into in the game, or the lack of communication about fixes, updates, or news.''

''We didn’t want you to think the silence meant nothing was happening. We're sorry and understand this was not the right approach, and we’ll work to make a better bridge between you and the dev team at BGS (Bethesda Game Studios)''

The developers also confirmed in the post, that a major update will be releasing next week, on December 4th. This patch will address some key issues.  Players can expect the stash limit to be increased, changes to boss loot, changes to cryolator effects and an issue where overencumbered players couldn't respawn normally has been fixed. On top of this, an issue where players were stuck in power armor has also been fixed. The full list of patch notes will be posted on later this week.

Bethesda have also stated that another update will arrive the following week, on December 11th.

It's safe for us to assume that these are the first of many upcoming updates to improve the Fallout 76 experience for those that've stuck with the game despite its rocky launch.

Fallout 76 is now available for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4

Yeah I couldn’t get a refund when I requested one. That isn’t right. But I do play it today. It’s getting “better”. I am old school. I believe you should finish a product before it’s release. Video gaming industry is very similar to that fire festival scam. Hype and expectations. This is the mindset forced upon the public I wish it would stop. If it doesn’t work, it doesn’t work. Make something that works and then bring it to the market. Giving participation stars and recognition to people who shouldn’t be developers. We need A+ proper, not… “hey I tried,… Read more »

How many times are we going to hear a Dev say “oh we’re sorry and we’re going to do better for you….”. Yeah right. and “we understand this wasn’t the right approach”. There’s no way whatsoever everyone on the F76 team was not aware this was going to be a trainwreck. Are we seriously supposed to believe that it was only after it released that the guys who made it went “oh wow, people are upset. Looks like we’ve done a whoopsie”…..

Too little, too late. I don’t like it and I won’t be buying it. Your advice was sage. Thanks Bethesda.
