When the fires that engulfed the old world in the Fallout series finally subsided, humanity was left nearly extinct and was no longer at the top of the food chain. This is due to the bombs forever changing the world as it once was, and now strange mutated abominations walk the earth. We have seen countless creatures that fit this description ever since the series’ inception back in the 1990s; however, in this guide, we will be focusing on one in particular: a Fallout 76 Gulper. Gulpers were first introduced in Fallout 76 and are essentially big angry mutated salamanders.

Furthermore, we recommend checking out some of our other articles for more on Fallout 76, especially our guide on where to find Mole Miners.

The creatures tend to stay near bodies of water, but can also be seen hanging from trees to ambush victims. Gulpers are also found primarily throughout the Mire and the Cranberry Bog regions. The guide below will show the best locations on the map to find gulpers in Fallout 76.

Gulper Location #1 – Dolly Sods Campground

The first location where you can potentially find gulpers is the Dolly Sods Campground location. As shown above, at this location you might see Gulpers lurking around in the area; however, when we visited this spot, there were only anglers.

Gulper Location #2 – Treehouse Village

Now directly south from the last location is where you can find the next location where gulpers potentially spawn. As shown above, the Treehouse Village is the next best spot to find these sneaky little lizards, but be warned that they don’t always spawn here.

Gulper Location #3 – Big Maw

After you are done checking the last location, head west from The Treehouse Village towards the Big Maw. The Big Maw, like the last two sites, also has a chance to spawn Gulpers, so it is a good spot to check if you can’t find any.

Gulper Location #4 – Dabney Homestead

For this next spot, we are going to be heading a bit south to a place called Dabney Homestead. The location is directly north of The General’s Steakhouse, so fast-travel there and head north if you don’t have Dabney unlocked yet. Once you arrive, look around the house and you should see a few of the lizards; if not, move on to the next location on our list.

Gulper Location #5 – Creekside Sundew Grove

South of The General’s Steakhouse is a small red mutated forest, and this location is also a good spot to find some Gulpers. If you don’t know where it is, check the image above and like with the last one, fast-travel to the Steakhouse, but instead of heading north, head south.

Gulper Location #6 – Beckwith Farm

The sixth location to find Gulpers is at the Beckwith Farm, north of Middle Mountain Cabins. However, like with a few of these spots, Gulpers are not the only kinds of creatures that spawn here. That said, if you can’t find any, check the other sites on this list.

Gulper Location #7 – Gulper Lagoon

The final location on our list is actually the best spot to find these sneaky little buggers, as they always spawn here. When arriving at Gulper Lagoon, we suggest checking trees, as we mentioned earlier in the guide that these guys like to dangle from them. Furthermore, check the surrounding area, as they do tend to roam a little in the area around Gulper Lagoon.
