8. Best Early Game Locations to Visit First
Exploring the right places early on in Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon can make a massive difference in power, XP gain, and survivability. This section highlights four key locations that provide critical loot, spells, and systems for beginners.
1. Miner’s Tunnel – Early Healing and Summon Combo
- Located shortly after the tutorial area, just walking up the beach after you wash up
- Loot the crate to find the Wolf Summon Spell and Soul Salvage. Kill the mole monster at the base of the Mine’s Tunnel, after dealing with the corpse eaters, and at the end of where it spawned, there is a hole in the ground you can fall into. Follow that path to the end until you find a crate with the spells.
- Combo lets you heal by sacrificing your summon. Perfect for healing out of combat without using your resources.
- This combo is also great for surviving the world in the early game without having to tap on your potions and meals, saving those for quick healing during fights.
2. Horns of the South – Unlocking Systems and Vendors
- Main starting hub after the Starting area (Prologue)
- Unlocks factions, vendors, and key NPCs
- Find your stash near the well.
- Talk to Fargus once to remove theft restrictions from containers
3. Sunken Village – Hidden Respec Potion
- Search for a Fallen Keeper corpse to find a Potion of Origin
- Grants a full respec of stats and skills
- Great safety net if you spent points poorly
4. Starting Zone – XP, Loot, and Free Spells
- Explore thoroughly before entering Horns of the South
- Hidden spells, events, and rare loot are scattered throughout
- Take time to talk to all NPCs and clear every room
- This zone is not just a tutorial — it’s packed with permanent power and quest elements
Travel Tips
- Use bonfires to craft and cook food before each big area
- Stock up on cobwebs during night-time runs for travel and item ID
- Always scout shrine and relic locations for long-term stat upgrades
